I somewhat regret getting Horse Lords. Instead of playing a sweet ass nomad tribe fucking shit up I instead started playing the Khitan who are the few feudal lords out east and now I have to deal with nomads wrecking my shit when all I want is to expand along the silk road.
#1 issue with Horse Lords is that you are kinda forced to take one of the larger starting nomads or else you'll constantly have to deal with the clan management.
*Clans want more land! Hand out 2 more counties or else there'll be an OP doomstack uprising that's basically a decadence revolt!*

This is pretty great. It takes a couple minutes after loading a save game or starting a new one for the lag to stop because of all the provinces that game be changed being renamed though.
There is also this mod that splits up the large Colonial Regions into smaller ones
For example eastern America being split into roughly the 13 Colonies. Certain cultures also get localized names for them as well.

Naples goddammit you had one job. You can own all of Greece proper, and start eating into Asia Minor but you can't retake Constantinople for the glory of Christendom i mean what the fuck
They pushed them back, all 3 of them removed their forces, a group of rebels popped up, took one province and then Wanka made more troops and took back all the occupied areas.
Spain was the only one to get territory out of the wars and it was a single coastal province.

One thing I link about the Rosetta mod is sometimes the AI keeps the 'native' name of an area, which makes sense because they did that IRL a lot of times.

Some weird bits though, both Norway and Scotland were kicked out Europe. While Great Britain and Scandinavia exist, they must have been formed through conquest, not Union.
Scotland and Norway have colonies scattered across the world, both mostly in the Pacific and West Coast america.

No, it's a "Minor Clan" revolt that's triggered by you having an extra county and it's really difficult to judge when the game just decides to give you "too much land" penalty.
Basically hold "too much land" for more than a month and you can get 3-4 of these in single succession, each one being able to hold 100k-180k or more

That'd be far too long, especially to tack onto CK2. As said above I really just want Rome II, like with all the benefits and advances made in CK2 could make Rome the ultimate Paradox game. My biggest fear would be them parceling out vital features for playing as non-Rome countries into umpteen expansions that I don't want to spend millions on.
I know, it's my impossible dream. At least a DLC set in Rome would make me rejoyce

Because there's a lot of untapped potential with pre-Punic, Republican-era Rome. Byzantium can suck a fuck.
The Punic Wars, the Marian reforms, the Triumvirate. It's all really fascinating.
Where is all the cold war love? East vs West deserves to be finished, imo.
