But yeah, personal combat skill is useless, all you need are traits like Organizer
I meant in a battlefield duel where you click away hopelessly at the three options without any idea what they do beyond meaningless "+1 attack -1 defense" tooltips

So i have almost exclusivily been playing norse pagas, so i wanna try some christian rulers. anyone have a general explanation how to expand and become big?
I know about political marriages, invite people with claims to your court and ask the pope for claims. Is that the only thing you can do? (except holy wars ofc)
Leader characters play an important role in the game.
I'm gonna say it's a sci-fi RPG
I'm gonna say it's a sci-fi RPG
If its the lead characters that are important couldnt it be CK2 -esque but in a sci-fi setting?
Would be pretty awesome but I doubt it.

People of Earth were a bit angered about the fact that Emperor Xylzirr XVII of Canis Majoris inherited the planet by killing his distant cousin, President George Bush XX.
So I just finished a game as Spain on Ironman and I don't think I've ever seen Europe so completely screwed.

Unless you're on the border of some pagan lands, you're gonna be spending a considerable time either fabricating claims or inviting people to your court and giving them land. But getting big as a Catholic ruler ain't very hard unless you're surrounded by blobs.
Byzantine Empire is fun, especially around The Old God's start date. You can go east and holy war the Abbasids or politically marry into the Karling's land and then going to war over entire kingdoms.
Poland in 1066 is good, you start off with a Strong ruler and have a ton of pagan lands to conquer, or you can join the HRE and become the emperor in a generation or two.
Hopefully whatever it is, they'll actually release it unlike EvW and that other game that they announced last year, i think it was some turn based fantasy game? I can't remember...

Runemaster.
Got about 6(?) dev diaries and then died.
EvW and RM are the two games that made Paradox no longer take on 3rd party developers.

A paradox version of Legend of the Galactic Heroes would be my ideal game.
I had no idea gamescom was today/tomorrow. Did Paradox Interactive come up yet, if not when are they appearing?

Tutorials get you nowhere, especially with Paradox games. You have to throw yourself into the action.
