Wow, fuck this factory bullshit. I have tariffs at 0%, Rich class taxes at 0-1% and yet most of my factories can't import any input products and subsidizing does jack shit and I'm not even sphere'd. My capitalists all want to build stupid shit rather then cheaper, more profitable alternatives. As Portugal I have plenty of Grain and Fruit, so let's build winery's, liquor distillery's and glass factories, right? No let's build some fucking clipper convoy factories and artillery factories.

For some reason despite having plenty of money, I also wasn't able to buy any construction goods for factories and forts I was building even when manually buying.

okay I'll explain how the trading system works, the higher prestige you have the higher priority you get for trading.

so in effect that means all the great poowers and secondary powers bought up all the goods you needed before you got them and the resource isn't produced at a world surplus.

Just had a crusade last 42 years during my Venice playthrough.

In about 812, Abbasids eat up Greece, and the Umayyads form Hispania and start marching back into Aquitaine. Pope has enough of that shit and starts a crusade for Andalusia. Plenty of Catholics join in, including the entirety of the British Isles and the Karling realms.

But the Abbasids join in on the side of the Umayyads, and fuckspam a [I]huge[/I] number of troops.

The fighting seriously lasted from 812-856, with a very costly Crusader victory.

Everyone who participated, their troop numbers went down about 45% by the end of the war, and a shitload of Catholic nations were invaded by their mercenaries.

I wasn't a fan of the idea at first but that nation designer thing looks very well made.

I'm only really interested in the random modes though. If I wanted to play a Norse republic of Stockholm at the vanilla start I would have done it already via modding.

Well this would be easier then modding it. Just a few simple clicks.

They say in the stream that there will probably be the ability to export or create a template nation, but not at release.

You can also change your Unit sprites/models independatly from Tech group and culture. So you could be a Norse-Pagan German nation in south Africa with Inuit unit/building models in the Western tech group.
