Isn't this mod shit? I remember it not even bothering to change the pops from the 1836 natives in the western US.
That's Victoria Ultimate. Modern Age Mod has been trying really hard to get pops right
So I'm having a Darkest Hour
brb reinstalling Darkest Hour
I did edit it so the end date would be '65 rather than '61 from the 1933 date.
It's fucking mayhem. I stopped watching (i had shit to do) but the US has 188 DIVISIONS IN ICELAND
I just wish you could run it in windowed mode without having to change you desktop settings to 16bit colour

If you want some cold war shenanigans try New World Order 2
I think it ends in the 90s? Though most of the events are in the 60s and 70s IIRC.
It is meant to be played from the 1945 bookmark.
Ignore colonies
retake the holy land
Colonize China via central Asia.

Damn it man, did you take pictures!?
I invaded the papal states and conquered Rome.
Now I am truly the Kayser-i-Rûm, sultan of sultans, the loftiest king who defeats the kingdoms around the world, the shadow of Allah in the Earth, I have conquered all with my fire scattering sword and no one can stop me, not one nation can possibly defeat the empire that Osman Gazi founded so many years ago, nor even a group of nati-

This might be a bit tricky

How'd you manage to take Rome in but completely skip the Mamluks in 120 years?
How'd you manage to take Rome in but completely skip the Mamluks in 120 years?
I'm focusing on Europe, fuck the Mamelukes, I already stole Jerusalem from them , what are they going to do?

This is the nerdiest thing ever, but CK2 might be helping me turn my house from a dump in to a clean, livable place. Using the rules of CK2, I've created a floorplan of my house divided in to counties and duchies with the intent of focusing my efforts and keeping me conscious of how the various parts of the house are with the intent of 'owning' the majority of the land (keeping my family from fucking everything up) and thus uniting the de jure kingdom :v:
this is what happens when I play almost 40 hours of this shit across two weeks

There are no Sprites/models in that screenshot other then planes and buildings.
Maybe they finally added a toggle for those who don't like them.
In CK2 why is it that when I crush a rebellion by a peasant or some adventurer and imprison them, why does the game get rid of their money?
There was a saxon adventurer with over 500 gold and one of the options of peace is that it "removes 500 gold from him". Fuck him I beat him fair and square I want his money why is this mechanic in place?
Wait is that new?
I remember making rebels sack my vassals, and beating them getting 300-400 cash.
I assume its to stop cash farming. I used to use the mechanic of deliberately making people revolt and then arresting them and taking all of their money.
I've always played CK2 with a mind for economic development - much to the point that in the Charlemagne start in 769 as the King of Pictland that by 950 I have become richer than the pope and byzantine emperor.
So far in my American "Colonialism" campaign I weaseled into Gambia quite easily (Stack-wiped 12k Gambain troops while losing only 1200 of my own).
But also Ireland went bankrupt.
I-i have the chance to take territory from them
s-should I do American lebensraum into Oirland

Screenshots maybe? I'm interested (plz ;_;)
I'll be getting some soon, put an album together n' such.
Please understand, there ARE cheats used in it.
Most of them are to do with infamy reduction and 'alwaysaddwargoal'. These two allow for hilarious AI expansionism, plus it gives me a breather.
I tried this before with China conquering the world, and the entirety of Europe shit itself when I annexed Taiwan, so I nudged infamy down a bit. The AI takes advantage of it like crazy.

I did like 90% of that war with no manpower, it would have been easier if my vassals didn't throw themselves into the northern france meat grinder repeatedly.
That's one of my few complaints with Paradox games- The AI seems able to somehow justify declaring war on you for the fifth time in a row, breaking a truce, while already in another offensive war with a former ally and none of the other AI bats an eye, while if I so much as sign a trade agreement with an OPM that someone doesn't like I have half of Europe forming coalitions or declaring a war on me with no casus-belli.
Silk cities are pretty fucking ridiculous in how much money they can have you making.

How did Russia even get Xinjiang

How did Russia even get Xinjiang
Russia is allied with India, and they have absolutely massive armies. China already had their ass whooped in a war when India took Kashmir. What happened is that China mobilized rather than have regulars, so their Soldier pops got absolutely mutilated. Not to mention that India slapped China with a 'cut down to size'.
Russia originally declared war for Manchuria, and was on the retreat when the Indians swept through the Himalayas (I shit you not) and started steamrolling through the undefended areas of southwestern China. Russia added Xinjiang as a war goal.
India wanted to take Tibet too, but luckily China peaced out with Russia first.

This is reminiscent of my reactionary/fascist USA playthrough where I turned them into a domineering superpower of racism and bigotry.

Not all games are Eu4 on a bad patch.
Not all games are Eu4 on a bad patch.
Pretty sure he described most if not all Paradox games. EUIII? Every nation even remotely nearby tends to guarantee the OPMs around you. Vicky 2? Gonna sphere and intervene in favor of random minors and uncivs. CK2 and the HoI probably the only one that doesn't have the AI actively hounding the player but that's mostly because the mechanics to do so like guarantees don't really exist in CK2 and the HoI games are a bit on rails.
EDIT: Actually I take that back for CK 2, it's not uncommon for even fairly happy vassals to join factions against you because they are arbitrarily below a certain opinion of you.
