I think they're adding different settings you can check and uncheck to get a more appeasing New World
I might be wrong though
Ever since RNW was first announced I've really wanted the ability to customize it to produce shitloads of small archipelagos and island chains to just make Oceana stretch from China to England.
A, "Columbus was right" option where the entire New World is just missing and there are just 2-3 more ocean tiles from the Maldives until Hawaii would also be hilarious.
One of the options they're considering is Advanced natives without having to import a sunset invasion save
I wish I could have the entire world be random as an option.

Russia is honestly a bit of a better ally for Greece since they actually tend to attack the Ottomans, but then sadly by that point the Ottos usually lose GP status and the UK decides they want to be their eternal protectors.
I think not having Common Sense makes literally everything (except for hard restricted government types and vassals) a Kingdom. Even HRE members who weren't electors were kingdoms.
Common Sense is the reason why I won't be purchasing Hearts of Iron IV until it gets a Game of the Year/DLC Collection-all-in-one version (You know as well as I do it's going to be stuffed like a thanksgiving turkey with microtransactions)
What nations would you guys like to see in EU4?
What nations would you guys like to see in EU4?
For starters, I'd honestly want to see a vic2 world randomizer for EU4. I really don't care about anything other than that.
It basically randomized every aspect of a country, from their name down to culture and religion, to something unique that wasn't historic stuff etc, I thought that was nice. EU4's was such a cheesy cop out.
Arguably the least railroaded game is EUIV without lucky nations. Crusader Kings has railroaded events such as crusades, jihads, etc. happening at some point, and the arrival of the viking age/mongols.
While that's true, the funniest things happen because of that. Like Venice owning all of the middle east or the Knights Templar settling down and owning all of Bulgaria.

Madagascar deserves some nations imo, and more provinces.
At the very least the Merina Kingdom should be in the game imo.
Africa in general needs its own expansion pack to break its religions, cultures, and nations into more interesting and historical ones.
According to the latest CK2 dev-diary, it looks like we're going to get one last expansion and then there will be a "Gold Edition", essentially bringing CK2 expansion to an end.
There'll still be tweaks and bug fixes and whatnot, but I guess the game's run its course long enough to stop being built up on.
As much as I complain about the DLC, you gotta hand it to Paradox, they really made that game an absolute blast to play and it's amazing how far the game has come from its first vanilla stage.

I guess they'll move the team members to another team to start work on another sequel, though for what series I have no idea, and leave a few to continue bug fixing and patching the game for a little while. I can hope for Victoria III but more than likely they'll start design work on CKIII. For comparison EUIII Chronicles came out in 2011 and EUIV came out in 2013 so it's not unheard of for them to start already, especially with as well as CKII sold.

I think you misunderstood the post. It's talking about their internal development cycle for every expansion. What they call Gold is the release version of the patch/DLC.
New EU4 dev diary, look for the secret Denmark

Adding 8 new Malagasy provinces and 3 Malagasy nations in my mod actually. Merina might not be a formable but Madagascar will most likely be a Malagasy unification tag
I've been playing CK2 HIP mod with Westeaxe starting from 867 and i created the kingdom of England in 910. However it's not actually called England it's called Englaland. I know that this is in Celtic or whatever but i was wondering if it will actually get renamed to England and all the provinces and characters will start to have english names at one point? Or do i have to do something for this to happen? Because all these celtic character and province names are pretty confusing.
RIP Austria

I hope HoI4 wont be a laggy like shit like HoI3 is right now. Jesus its impossible to play on BlackICE around the 1944-1945 mark.

I'm sure it'll be better optimized.

I've never advanced further than late 1944 in any of my games. My game just simply gave up near the end of 44.

You're playing BloatICE, its to be expected even more so than normal. Vanilla and HIP even lag during Barbarossa.
While on the subject I really wish BlackICE didn't have some of the retarded modifiers it did, stuff like weather effects is fine (maybe tweaked abit down) but the cities and forts are ridiculous. Other than that I really like the gameplay approach with national focuses and shit like that as well as the events.
I saw a picture where a dude was attacking Malta as Japan in BlackICE. He had surrounded the island with 2.3 million men, while the British had about 21k in total defending. Again, the island was completely surrounded and was being bombed regularly, daily even, as the Japanese attempted to land.
By the time he captured it, a month later, he had suffered 400k casualties.
What.

Yes the fort system is a bit weird but you have to remember that the forts also include stuff like; Artillery, moths, hedgehogs etc.. 10 stack fortresses are literally impenetrable due to the structures in it.

His over stacking penalty must have been ridiculous.
