What's the mod? That map looks really nice
Late game Vicky II would be much more enjoyable if the economy didn't utterly shit the bed because supply so far outstrips consumption that the entire world's economy utterly crashes.

Its a custom HPP, I ripped Black ICE's map texture and August Storm's unit counters.

Remember that there's a "I'm taking my ball and going home" tactic of building only canned food factories in nations that have high grain exportation (India, China, etc.), which makes populations the world over start to starve
There's a (somewhat limited) way of repairing the economy by demolishing industries with oversupply and investing into new ones (automobiles, radios, etc).
Of course this can only work for so long. No matter what I do, I end up with a bloated and overheated economy that collapses in the early 20th century that only slowly recovers afterwards (if at all).
I'm going to start my first ironman game in eu4. Got any tips?
Honestly, as cheap as it is, I just wrote in the history files so Britain owns all of India from the get go.
It's really annoying to see a huge cluster of independent Indian principalities in 1910 when the British should have wiped the floor with them
The current system represents how India was governed
shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit every time i play germany in dh i always fuck up come '41 and i just hit reset
this happens on every playthrough
[editline]14th October 2015[/editline]
it's so frustrating to sit through thinking that you've built up a decent military and pumped out a fair few factories but then you realise you still don't have enough
i actually even had to delay invading poland until spring '40 because i needed to upgrade my units, which is a HUGE ic hog

I don't quite follow, thats territory they hold so they can supply their troops
It's not any different from real life how the Bulgarians, Italians and Germans occupied Greece.
Did you mean like how Germany should be the territory holder for Drang Nach Osten?
So I've successfully finished the tutorials, and I know it was intentionally made easy but shit, that was a lot of fun. Haven't had the time to play properly yet but I'm planning to do so soon.
[editline]14th October 2015[/editline]
I've never played a single-player game before that's so slow yet so fucking fun.

I need some help with CK2. Just found out Rajas of India changed the way education works when it comes to converting culture and religion. I want to convert to a different religion and i just can't figure out how i would go about doing that now that the old way doesnt work anymore. Trying to figure it out is hurting my brain.
The tutor needs to be the same culture as me to convert my child, so how do i convert their culture without converting their religion if i take their land?
Some achievements that I made up for Hearts of Iron 3:

Deus Vult!

Making It Complicated, Are We?
Coup a nation, and then conquer it anyways

If you're using up too much IC upgrading your army then move the standing army/draft army slider towards standing army since it reduces the IC cost and time it takes to upgrade. Your best bet is to alternate between upgrading your troops and building new units if you aren't doing such already. Also if you are playing as Germany you really don't need to build factories that much.

this is dh 1.04
they changed the manpower system
plus upgrade time is inversely proportional to ic bonuses when moving the free market/central planning slider

I only play KR so I keep forgetting that the standing army/draft army slider was changed to a decision mobilization slider in the base game.

Australia next to Austria? What
That is another reason why they're fixing the AI. Australia got that because of peace conference, same way Denmark got all of that.
Must have forgotten If Capital = Europe
[editline]15th October 2015[/editline]
well I guess that would't work for every peace deal, how would America or Japan get any territory if it was based on capital.

Maybe the Carib places are poorly developed and worth fuck all at that time in the game.
So I left EU4 running while I was at school.. I'm not running any mods besides more colonial nations and localization
I might have had random lucky nations on

Oh man I've wanted this feature for the longest time. I wonder if we can threaten war for military access as well.
-snip-
As much as I like being able to take cores without conflict I hope they balance it so that it can't be abused. [sp]They totally won't balance it right and it will be abusable for two or three patches at least[/sp]

Imagine Muscovy and the novogorod claims. Apperently they will also be "permaclaims" meaning in theory muscovy can blob novogorod without even declaring war
