It creates a truce though. so it is usually faster to crush them anyway. I think that will be a feature like loaning to AI where you will never really want to do it. on a side note, I really don't like how HOI4 is shaping up. I understand why some people would like it though
Speaking of HOI4, new dev diary, it is about Custom Factions https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/hearts-of-iron-iv-29th-development-diary-16th-of-october-2015.887017/
It'll probably be useful in situations where you want to take just one or two provinces but actually going to war would make an AI alliance/coalition declare war on you.

So the Japan AI was like "oh fuck" after the US pressured them during the Sino-Japanese war. :v: Time to IC whore. [t]http://imgkk.com/i/_ke0.png[/t]

There needs to be a "Maybe" option.
But if you are playing Ironman and the AI wouldn't accept, would you take the risks? There needs to be a "Maybe" option.
A maybe option sorta defeats the point of a threat. Just give the option to back down if they refuse at the cost of prestige and stability.
Quill isn't doing too bad. I notice he doesn't have battle pop ups, and isn't paying attention much to his eastern front, just letting the AI handle it
Ugh AI control.
AI control is good for some fronts.
AI control likes to Attack across rivers/into retarded terrain/get cut off from supply lines/push ahead in a single line and then get enveloped/use the wrong troops for the wrong terrain/not know how to encircle enemy troops/stack all its troops on the border instead of doing stuff like defence in depth or overstacking a border that doesn't need troops. I really don't see why you would ever turn it on besides steamrolling some minor, just basic knowledge of gameplay will allow you to play better and use human logic to perform better actions. The recommended division compositions that I assume that guy was using from the theatre HQ are awful too, put some mech or motorized (it's way better, mech chews through supplies so quick and motor has more value per IC) with your armor for the CA bonus.
he has them there as a defence, not offence.
That doesn't change the fact they still do all of that. All they do is mass on the border and try not to attack on defensive mode. It's a total waste of troops, the Japanese cannot supply anything in Siberia, dig in behind rivers and the sparse hills/mountains/forests in Mongolia and western Siberia. Everything is 2 or 3 infrastructure and then halve that since its non-core for the Japanese. The only higher infrastructure provinces is the Trans-Siberian railway on the Manchurian border linking up to Vladivostok but that probably doesn't even matter with the retarded supply throughput that the game has. Setup multiple lines of defence, counterattack after the Japanese have thrown themselves against your dug in infantry, bonus points for attacking out of supply troops.

I've gone exactly 300 years from a Charlemagne start, from a minor horde to my current position. [t]http://i.imgur.com/oBS9amp.jpg[/t] Religon: [t]http://i.imgur.com/VdRuxjW.jpg[/t] Culture: [t]http://i.imgur.com/tsux0IO.jpg[/t] Highlights include a reformed Suomenusko faith, a HRE formed from Lombardy and a glorious breakup of Andalusian Hispania. I started as a created character of Tocharian culture in Zhetsu, hence that giant lingering steppe blob. Once I settled down I went from horde to tribe to feudal primogeniture over ~150 years. Mimicking the Magyars is fun.

I'm playing HIP mod as the Byzantines from the earliest start and my vassals keep rebelling to try and lower the crown authority. Why? It's only at medium and all of my vassals have a positive opinion of me. Why are they constantly rebelling? I just crushed 2 rebellions in 3-4 years and killed like 2 people who were trying to rebel. Is there a way to slow or stop this from happening without lowering your crown authority?
Kill or get rid of Ambitious vassals

I was forced to use cheats in order to observe the game and just watch shit hit the fan.
10 minutes into playing victoria 2 its looking good [img_thumb]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/387666941021640522/5DAE453B6287DDE6AE67814338034B99D7FDF875/[/img_thumb]
Personal best in EUIV so far, think I've finally got used to the forts system after having sulked about it for months. Actually come in handy for fighting Ming, they couldn't just steamroll me since I built a shit load of forts along the Indian border. 2nd largest army because I decided to start a world war at the end of the campaign. still a clear 200+ forcelimit over the Commonwealth. Wait, Queen Henry?
The EU4 history thing has a weird bug where every past leader retroactively has your current leader title applied to them. I'm playing a game as Great Britain which turned into a republic after the civil war, and every ruler before then is called "President"

In the update for EUIV, there's going to be a "Continue" button added. Holy shit it's ingenious. I'm not kidding, like, that's actually really simple and I'm surprised it wasn't added before.

oh yeah, also HOI4 dev diary https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/hearts-of-iron-iv-30th-development-diary-23rd-of-october-2015.888041/ it is about france. I like their focuses tree. Next week is about Peace Conferences. [editline]23rd October 2015[/editline] according to Podcat HOI4 has a game option to have the AI always use historical choices on the national focus trees. By default they'll choose mostly historical but will have a chance of going ahistorical. [editline]23rd October 2015[/editline] you can spy on other nations national focuses. AI will spy on yours as well. [editline]23rd October 2015[/editline]
In the update for EUIV, there's going to be a "Continue" button added. Holy shit it's ingenious. As long as certain AI values aren't hard coded like in HOI3 I will be a happy man.
