I'm getting a heart attack just by looking at those notifications on top of the screen
They're all not really of much importance despite them popping up. All the claims are useless as I have Imperial Reconquest cb (which is still dogshit, you go by regions. I don't think the claimant to Rome would give a shit about some western barbarian kings right to claims) Factions I don't even bother with anymore, its impossible to please my vassals as they revolt every 20 years over my high CA. (Going to max this, the Roman Empire had power in the Emperor so) The education is my clubfooted cousin who I'm attempting to murder for diluting the Makedon gene pool Vassal Levies I don't give a fuck about my vassals can suck my dick Over limit vassal is impossible to deal with at an empire that size, I can't make anything bigger than themes in Byzantium proper and all my vassals are dukes and kings so I can't transfer much more. Italy is a vice-royalty kingdom and I'm still over limit. Minor titles is the billion commanders I have and the special decisions is just some crappy tourny. The map also looks awful from me destroying entire titles as I blob across Europe, Africa and the Levant. [editline]19th November 2015[/editline] Honestly the borders don't even look that bad, border gore was a thing in real life in the early/high middle ages into the Renaissance anyway (except Scandinavia, Scandinavia is a clusterfuck) [t]http://imgkk.com/i/b71m.png[/t]

Also the sea looks awful. Also that mod has provinces which are completely surrounded by wasteland, how do they work?
"Hi count, join my empire or else" "lol nah, ur orthodox"

O sultan, Turkish devil and damned devil's kith and kin, secretary to Lucifer himself. What the devil kind of knight are you, that can't slay a hedgehog with your naked arse? The devil excretes, and your army eats. You will not, you son of a bitch, make subjects of Christian sons; we've no fear of your army, by land and by sea we will battle with thee, fuck your mother. You Babylonian scullion, Macedonian wheelwright, brewer of Jerusalem, goat-fucker of Alexandria, swineherd of Greater and Lesser Egypt, pig of Armenia, Podolian thief, catamite of Tartary, hangman of Kamyanets, and fool of all the world and underworld, an idiot before God, grandson of the Serpent, and the crick in our dick. Pig's snout, mare's arse, slaughterhouse cur, unchristened brow, screw your own mother! So the Zaporozhians declare, you lowlife. You won't even be herding pigs for the Christians. Now we'll conclude, for we don't know the date and don't own a calendar; the moon's in the sky, the year with the Lord, the day's the same over here as it is over there; for this kiss our arse! - Koshovyi Otaman Ivan Sirko, with the whole Zaporozhian Host.
Probably something like that.
The borders aren't the problem, it's the colours and the super transparent countries. Also the sea looks awful. Also that mod has provinces which are completely surrounded by wasteland, how do they work?
The colors are HiP, I put on the transparency with another mod, the water looks awful because I have a flatwater mod on and trees off to try to get a little more FPS. I'm not sure what you mean by the wasteland either, there's no province that's completely cutoff. You always have at least 2 routes [editline]19th November 2015[/editline]
Probably something like that.
Well that's from the Cossacks to Turkish Muslims, abit different from an Orthodox Christian Greek Roman Emperor asking a Catholic Italian to swear an oath.
The penalty should probably be a bit lower for Orthodox to Catholic/vice versa but I can't imagine it would be much lower.
The penalty should probably be a bit lower for Orthodox to Catholic/vice versa but I can't imagine it would be much lower.
CK2 is so black and white in the way it classifies things, most of it isn't even historically accurate. The more I read into the actual history the more I get bothered by the way things are modeled, Byzantium should have its own unique Imperial government type as well imo. Heresy's also need better adjustment, cultural conversion and religious tolerance needs to be looked at as well.

Maybe add a secular trait that makes it easier to have relations between different faiths.

Hell, the game just barely simulates any conflict of interest between monarchs and the Pope, what little it does have is extremely simplistic. The Papacy really needs an overhaul.
I see a fourth party there. That makes me very hopeful.
There has always been 4 parties
There has always been 4 parties
I fairly distinctly remember only 3 parties per country. CBA to verify this tho because having the ability for more than 3 parties is very cool.
They added it a few months back.
Nations that start in factions don't have a neutral party IIRC. [editline]20th November 2015[/editline] Nope, I'm wrong, the Soviet Union has a Neutral party. They just have 0 popularity https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/hearts-of-iron-iv-developer-diary-16-world-tension.854923/ they added the Neutral party sometime before this Dev Diary which was in May. It wasn't in before

Just finished a multiplayer Victoria 2 campaign playing as Russia while teaming up with Egypt, using the New Nations Mod. [T]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/404558073164426817/FA2407315D849A85ECC1D70D65D3919539D4C8E1/[/T] Europe at the end of the game. France dismantled Germany after Germany had held a large chunk of French territory since the early game. Note Arabic India. Unfortunately, the world of this save is mostly a fascist dystopia. After the Great War of 1912 between Russia and the Arab Union vs. Germany, the UK, Spain, and Norway, most of the world started voting in fascist. Germany stayed Nazi for several years, and accomplished the Anschluss before getting dismantled. Some nations were overthrown by fascist rebels, and I would ultimately fight two wars to restore democracy to Italy and the UK. After the Great War, Indian nationalists freed a large clusterfuck of Indian minors from the UK. Ultimately, not as bad as the outcome could have been for the US.
Believe it or not, there is actually some historical context for why the United States and Britain would go to war over Washington due to a dispute over the border, but luckily cooler heads prevailed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oregon_boundary_dispute
There's a particular event chain (I don't know if it's vanilla or NNM - I've been using NNM so long that it just feels like the normal way to play Victoria) where the US can choose to resolve the boundary dispute with a conference, or assert claims in British Columbia. Choosing to assert claims can really fuck the USA over, as it's possible to get stuck in constant wars with the UK for the rest of the game. Resolving peacefully gives the US free reign to do pretty much whatever it likes for the rest of the game. [T]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/404558073166985142/9FE90B7CFF467EE7D5ADF2DCA24BD06482CE75F0/[/T] This happened to me once as a result of not paying attention to the event and then having to fight the UK a lot. Two civil wars fired instead of one, and the US and CSA flipped places for some weird reason.
It's not exceedingly difficult to press the claims and boot the UK out of North America, it's mostly a matter of noticing where they tend to land their troops and hitting them as they land. Alternatively you can just take the land and then increase your relations with the UK so they won't ever declare war on you. IIRC the AI won't declare on someone with at least 150 relations.
In NNM, there is an event, where if the USA ceases to exist the CSA just tag swaps back to USA. Though I doubt that was the cause of you bug there.
In NNM, there is an event, where if the USA ceases to exist the CSA just tag swaps back to USA. Though I doubt that was the cause of you bug there.
The CSA, USA, and FSA were in a three-way fight when the two civil wars started. I took the FSA so I could keep all the major population states. At the conclusion of the USA/CSA war, the two flipped.
IIRC the FSA breaks away when the US switches from a democracy to a different form of government.
IIRC the FSA breaks away when the US switches from a democracy to a different form of government.
I never changed governments as the US. From what I understand, the FSA came off because the Civil War got delayed and I still had slavery, which was at least in part due to getting in fights with the UK.
Looking at the event it becomes active if the CSA doesn't exist by 1865 and slavery hasn't been abolished. The MTTH increases depending on your war exhaustion, not being a GP, if it hasn't fired by 1868, and again in 1870. As far as I can tell it's supposed to just be a reverse Civil war, with the US being the south and the secessionists being the north. The fact that you somehow managed to get all three is bizarre to say the least.
how in the world does people get this high immigration rates?
If I remember correctly, immigration is influenced by these factors: Wars Life Rating # Of Goods Social Reforms Wars tend to make people leave quite quickly, which makes sense. Life rating, I believe, is accumulative, which makes the US very attractive. Goods is simply how much of the population is lacking in their "life goods". And social reforms is quite obvious, a nation with a lot of benefits is very attractive. China tends to hemorrhage its population late game. I've seen them drop in total pop by upwards of 10% due entirely to emigration.
