The best EUIV DLC was released alongside Cossacks today. http://store.steampowered.com/app/415680/ I fangirl'd a bit.
save files are forced compressed with Random New World enabled so you can't grab the seed from there.
The new DLC made the ottomans like 60% easier. No longer do you need to declare lots of annoying wars to get your core provinces back
Why is the new DLC like $5 more than usual. EDIT: I swear the AI gets military bonuses sometimes. Even defending in a river province with roughly equal tech the AI has no problem just melting my armies unless they're 2x their size.
Maybe their general is better or different tech group?
Maybe their general is better or different tech group?
General maybe, but considering my last was Venice vs. the Ottomans it's not the tech group. I had the same issue when I tried to play Novgorod, where even with a much larger army the Muskovites seem to literally just shred through my forces. [sp]or maybe I just need to git gud[/sp]

Also remember that a leader with higher maneuver doesn't get the river crossing penalty.

Maneuver and shock are the most important for the early game, and fire is only useful once you get to close-order-drill troops in the late 1600s.
wtf is up with rebels in this new dlc? My 6 development desert province got a 29k rebel spawn. Did all the newborn children also decide to fight or what?

there was a HOI4 stream yesterday

Don't really like that you need favors to get someone to follow you into a war. It pretty much makes alliances of opportunity impossible.
If Vicky3 ever gets made I rather hope migration bonuses aren't so tied to region.
The United States really needs that population boost though, those first few decades are brutal. Plus the Homestead Act more or less makes it the place to migrate anyway.
Wow what the fuck? CK2 > EUIV converter is still only working for 1.12
Sadly it looks like they've given up on the converter.
that's such horse shit, why do they keep selling it as DLC then? I had an entire fucking campaign working to convert it, what the hell
They updated it for 1.13 but they forgot to change the line in the generated mod text file that allowed it to be run in 1.13. Can easily be changed with a text editor.
Wow what the fuck? CK2 > EUIV converter is still only working for 1.12
Is it actually deeply broken or is it just a matter of supported_version in the mod file? Either way it's pretty unacceptable how Paradox give zero shits about the converter. Some easily fixable issues have been there for a year (maybe even from release). No wonder it has a 29% score on Steam now since it's broken half the time and is otherwise wonky at best.
that's such horse shit, why do they keep selling it as DLC then? I had an entire fucking campaign working to convert it, what the hell
I just opened a converted CK2 save from August and it worked fine in 1.14 By fine I mean it didn't crash. [editline]3rd December 2015[/editline] All my religions appear to be fine. I'm missing One culture though, I don't know what one. I think it is a Mongol related one. [editline]3rd December 2015[/editline] Go into the mod file and change supported_version to supported_version = "1.14"
Go into the mod file and change supported_version to supported_version = "1.14"
It just launches vanilla EUIV
It just launches vanilla EUIV
Works fine for me. Were you using any mods with CK2? Try moving it to the EU4 mods folder.
The United States really needs that population boost though, those first few decades are brutal. Plus the Homestead Act more or less makes it the place to migrate anyway.
I just want it to be more dependent on a nation actually encouraging migration and policies as opposed to just "be in the Americas".
This girl inspired me to do a Muscovy run so I can form the nation of my Ancestors. Да здравствует Россия !

Before I started playing Japan, conquering China was some devious way to get infinite taxation on the lower classes. Now that I'm playing Japan, it just feels... I don't know, the fun just isn't there anymore. What are some good non-traditional targets for Japan after it's done bringing Co-Prosperity to it's East Asia Sphere?
