One day I will finally form Qing. I had a pretty good run going but then Ming just decided it wanted Oirat, and Mongolia, and all of Manchu.
Goddammit I'm so fucking mad that Darkest Hour is more or less broken for Windows 7/8/10
Goddammit I'm so fucking mad that Darkest Hour is more or less broken for Windows 7/8/10
Well what's your problem then? The game works p much fine for me.
Well what's your problem then? The game works p much fine for me.
Reinstalled it a multitude of times. Every time I press play, the game "starts" but it just sits in the background.
That is weird, it works perfectly for me as well on Win 10. What are your specs?
One day I will finally form Qing. I had a pretty good run going but then Ming just decided it wanted Oirat, and Mongolia, and all of Manchu.
Ming is weaker than the Oirates.
Ming is weaker than the Oirates.
For a majority of the time unless the Oirats manage to gobble up Mongolia/the Khalka territories. They still aren't a "threat" per-sey but they become a gigantic pain in the ass to chase around and play whack-a-mole with. Edit Haha! I read that the other way around!
Ming is weaker than the Oirates.
Not when the Oirats somehow lose two wars in a row to Uzbek, and Yarkand. Then Ming supported Mongolia's independence, won that war, and declared war on me.

I don't quite understand laws in CK2. I pass a law then later it pops up that X law has been passed in a province that belongs to my vassal. So how does it work exactly? Each of my vassals that hold land have different laws that they may or may not pass?

They can only increase/decrease taxes and levy size, they can't change succession laws or kingdom-empire laws: these affect your direct vassals. At least this is what seems to happen to my understanding

Conclave sounds pretty decent as a dlc, albeit a few years late. In the meantime we got pointless crap like rajas of India.
What's gonna be fantastic is that I feel Conclave will transition smoothely with something like Horse Lords. There will be a lot of initiative to settle as a nomad tribe

Ok so this time I beat Ming and took the provinces needed to form Qing, except for Xilin Gol. So with a full army of 30k cavalry and manpower at max I declared war on Mongolia. Somehow Oirat routed my army with a force of 16k, most of whom were infantry, and they beat this same army again and again, then they took Beijing and Girin and took half my country in the peace deal. I just don't get this game sometimes.
They all have 31 opinion, are they clones?
They all have 31 opinion, are they clones?
Holy fuck they all have the same face too
It was probably either terrain bonuses or they had a really good general.
Wait, would Mongolia's steppes count as friendly steppes for Oirat? Because that would explain it, as their general already had 4shock vs my 3, so if he had 5 shock vs my 3 shock, + some lucky dice rolls he would have easily won.

Every time I tried in the past just resulted in England DOWing me within the first year and just eating everything.
it doesn't really affect you in any way, it just changes how much taxes or levies your direct vassal gets from his own vassals.
Except the extra or fewer taxes and levies they might get would affect yourself as well, wouldn't it?
Except the extra or fewer taxes and levies they might get would affect yourself as well, wouldn't it?
You get a little bit in taxes but the amount is pretty trivial unless they have a lot of vassels.
