CK2 is more fun when you work together IMO, then once you've established your Empires, you fight to the death. [editline]26th March 2016[/editline] in CK2 MP, can you play as someone's heir if they have a landed title? If so, what happens when that other player dies?
Players can't be part of the same dynasty iirc, so presumably if you inherit someone's stuff that means game over for them.
bought ck 2 today this fucking game out of context must seem so weird
Can someone explain to me why my allies trust of me is going down when I grant them provinces in a war as agreed before it starts?
EU4? If so, they are gonna want more land the more they contributed. When you are in the peace deal screen, check the flags on the left for the allies you called in with a promise of land. There's a little icon on each of them showing whether or not they are satisfied.
There is a NATO counter argument in HOI4 going on over in the Paradox thread on Something Awful between the SA users and Devs :v: I still think a horse screams Calvary more then a line in a box. And would be easier for new players to learn. Though the NATO symbols are easier to read from farther away. Non-issue anyways since they're in the game, you don't have to use the new simpler/easier to read symbols.

Wiz (jokingly) threatened to remove them because of people complaining about it.
Fuck, I can't contain my hype for stellaris. I don't give a fuck if the game is utter shite, I just want to play a space strategy game with genuinely new things besides typical 4x. And so far what I've seen is pretty damn great. I've really been looking for a space strategy game that has the depth and feeling of being dynamic that paradox games do, a living world.
First time I've seen Byzantium not get ass blasted, is that normal? [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/295357100727343727/17573685333C4118FC819C72EF64BB93210A7BDF/[/t]
9 times out of 10 I see the Ottomans roll them and blob wherever they feel like, and every time I try and play as Byz the Ottomans declare war within a week of the game starting.

There's also Aurora but that's literally a spreadsheet sim than anything, might be worth getting into

It's pretty much what Stellaris is going to be except on a better engine, more accessible and better quality. However DW still beats Stellaris in galaxy size and the number of stars/moons (that actually move in their orbit) and in some other areas for example it's not restricted to just playing inside star systems.
Distant worlds and Aurora are much too tedious with micromanagement for me to play at a regular pace. Distant world has automation, but its automation is quite terrible, in my experience; the AI always messes things up. Plus Distant World's AI is just bad in general in my experience. It's a fun game but I dunno, it's just too 'gamey' and not dynamic enough, in my experience. It's a game I really tried to enjoy but the micro murdered me. It's certainly not stellaris or any other paradox game.
I love all the features I've seen on Stellaris, I'm just afraid it's going to have an "empty" feel to it ala something like Civ V on release that's remedied by DLC. I wouldn't mind paying extra for DLC but it's the fact I have to wait ages for it to come out. :(

Personally I would like to see some sort of humans only mod to create a setting kind of like Dune or that Crisis of the Confederation mod for CK2. On the note of Stellaris, I got very hyped when I heard a rumor that one of the end-game "challenge" events would be a sequence where a ship of your empire discovers a ringworld and accidentally releases an ancient threat.

There is supposedly a possibility of Extra-Galactic Invaders coming along and fucking everything up, with the potential for Empires setting aside their differences to fight these new enemies. I don't know if defeating the Invaders will directly lead to victory, but there are definitely late-game "mega events" that can occur similarly to the Reapers from ME.
Stellaris DD on the sound of music (and also SFX) https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads%2Fstellaris-dev-diary-27-music-sound.916337%2F Includes 2 songs from the game. The first sounds very Mass Effect 1
Question to anyone who has used MEIOU and Taxes in EU4, how do i encourage my son to screw my daughter? I'm doing a 1356 game as the Habsburgs, and i need to keep the bloodline strong.
Keep the bloodline and the jawline strong, son.
Yo, I've not played CKII in a while. What the living fuck is this conclave alliance bullshit? I literally have no use for training my daughters to be powerful neighbours' fucktoys anymore. Also, anyone got any tips for a smooth transition for Germanic Pagans turning catholic? I'm sick of my wankstain council electing cousin "gay/weakling/totally not Viking" McFuckjob as the heir to everything I've worked for and then my actual sons taking all my shit.
The coalition shit can be disabled in the defines if you feel like it. Also just fuck a concubine and get rid of her so you only have one son until you get another succession type.

Friend just destroyed a craptop by playing Victoria II for thirteen hours a day, for eleven days. That said, I've got the exact same laptop and Vic II Ultimate runs pretty well in a cool room and gamebooster. Native americans are absurdly well armed right now, and it was only with the help of France that I beat back their containment war against me. It's a bit of a quirk in Ultimate that native american territories have an absurdly high population and soldier pool
Ultimate is pretty garbage tbh.
Ultimate is pretty garbage tbh.
I've noticed. It hasn't enhanced the fun all that much in this campaign, but I'm too invested to back out now
Why the hell is Granada Muslim tech? They were arguably the most tolerant and scientific accepting Caliphate in all of Islam, stupid tbh
Because Paradox cannot be bothered to accurately represent any nation that wasn't a major power.
Why the hell is Granada Muslim tech? They were arguably the most tolerant and scientific accepting Caliphate in all of Islam, stupid tbh
There's stuff ingame to model that though. Also their "golden age" was over by the time of eu4
