I was referring to him acting surprised at this when we've known this since 2014. [editline]17th April 2016[/editline] What more info do you need? You got the image representing the unit, their organization and their health, and a number telling you how many units are in that stack. If you want more click on the unit? The HOI3 counters didn't tell you much either. The info missing from HOI3 isn't even needed in HOI4.
Because from what I was told, and assumed we would have completely functioning counters. Not hamfisted in distance ones. I don't want to use models because its impractical for gameplay to me, it's not EU4, HoI leans closer to a wargame than anything. Counter stacks tell me everything I need to know at a glance instantly, the General, the Division composition and a rough estimate of how many units are in it. Its visually clean and gets the point across.
why are puppet states in HOI3 so weird as japan if you wanted to release korea as a puppet state, you couldn't. you can only make 2 separate korean states as north and south korea which doesn't make any sense. north korea is also for some reason called the "people's republic of korea" and not DPRK w h a t you can also make an israel puppet state as germany

The DPRK doesn't exist in Vanilla either. Non-core regions get halved infa-supply throughput.
Well it shows the new counters off pretty good. Here is how they look currently. NATO symbols are available in the options menu if you prefer them. You can get pretty close in before the 3D Models appear, this picture is right at the edge. [t]https://i.imgur.com/SA008iJ.png[/t]
HoI does look interesting, but should I get 3 or wait for 4?
Get 3 as well, but only when it's on sale. Don't forget to buy all the expansions because the base game is a wee bit broken. While you're at it, get Darkest Hour as well. Usually it's about 2 bucks on sale and the modding scene for it is amazing.
HoI does look interesting, but should I get 3 or wait for 4?
4 will be easier for new players Both have Tutorials though. HOI3's is done by Hitler :v: HOI4's Tutorial will be the Italian invasion of Ethiopia.
So where are the counters?
Those are the counters, they just have a number instead of stacking. Each number is a division. [editline]17th April 2016[/editline] Someone made Stellaris race maker. https://kaisersly.github.io/stellaris_race_maker/

honestly the whining about counters is ridiculous they've been in the game since like, the second dev diary, but no matter how many times paradox confirms they're in, everyone is like "TOO LITTLE TOO LATE"
I need some pretty urgent help here in order to salvage an EU4 save. Basically I've got an ironman Jerusalem (formed from Knights) run and I've found that the game won't save. What can I do to salvage my game? Nvm, the game crashed: [img_thumb]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/451859178978748171/51362742F1899DEB1FF7FB6B46CC4187F7F4C27E/[/img_thumb] Rip Jerusalem Ironman Run

Stellaris is going to be 2016's first sleeper hit I think, it looks amazing.
comets confirmed
well i mean it's space
well i mean it's space
Its an event that they've included in the majority of their previous games, that a peculiar comet is sighted during gameplay, with all sorts of outcomes. Now there are more because we are in space.
Now there are more because we are in space.
space empires confirmed for no stability ever
and the Dev diary that is from https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/stellaris-dev-diary-30-late-game-crises.921629/ [editline]18th April 2016[/editline] The next two DD will be about modding.

Another way to keep a game interesting is through random occurrences that can upset your plans even at a very late stage. This is where dangerous technologies and late game crises enter the picture. Some technologies are clearly marked as being “risky”, for example Robot Workers. Now, you might not always risk having your victory snatched out of your grasp, but in this case at least, you really are gambling with the fate of the galaxy. Just researching such a technology is safe; it’s the actual use of it that carries the danger. For example, the more sentient Robot Pops there are in the galaxy, the higher the risk is that they will come to deem organic life unfit to exist and rise up in a well-planned revolt. Unless crushed quickly and with overwhelming force, such a Machine Empire will quickly get out of hand and threaten all the remaining empires in the galaxy. Sentient robots will out-research and outproduce everyone. If the revolt is centered in a powerful rival empire, you’ll need to think carefully about when you want to intervene; a savvy player might time it just right and be able to mop up both the robots and the remnants of the rival empire. Leave it too long, however, and the robots will overwhelm you.
Oh my God yes...
Stellaris is the game I've been waiting for and wanting for so long, and now it's almost here and holy shit am I excited
GMG lowered their stellaris price to the correct 39.99, and they have a 25% off voucher http://www.greenmangaming.com/ones-to-watch/?affsrc=1&utm_source=Future+Publishing+Ltd&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=cj [editline]19th April 2016[/editline]
I really want to be excited for Stellaris but Paradox has proven themselves very good at hyping things up through dev diaries only for the end result to be a disappointment.
I'm trying to get more friends to be hyped for it so I'm not the only one disappointed.
I really want to be excited for Stellaris but Paradox has proven themselves very good at hyping things up through dev diaries only for the end result to be a disappointment.
Have you been watching their weekly streams? They show the game off better then the DD do.
Paradox is still cancerous with their DLC.
Have you been watching their weekly streams? They show the game off better then the DD do.
No, I don't bother with dev streams. Anyways I don't think that really matters, it can look cool on stream but until I actually get a chance to get into it and the masses start finding ways to break the game or that it is broken on its own I remain skeptical.
Anyone that legitimately thinks this has never looked at any other companies attempts at DLC, the AAA sector in particular has seen many utterly abhorrent DLC practices. [editline]19th April 2016[/editline] And no, I'm not saying that Paradox's DLC model is perfect, it's far from it in fact, but I'd still take it over a lot of the horrendous shit I've seen out there.
Paradox is borderline in game microtransactions with their DLC. If they just had released a few pieces of DLC they'd probably be fine but the fact that EUIV and CKII both cost over $200 to get in full is just bullshit. They deserve literally no defense, the whole "I know they're bad, but not as bad as others!" is a cop-out. If they would just cut the price on old DLC when releasing a new DLC, or if they didn't charge $15 for what generally turns out to be a minor content patch and reserve that price for actual big DLCs it all wouldn't be so bad, but they don't.
I mean, Cossacks is still $20 for what is basically a patch
