Overwatch - The world needs heroes, and Blizzard needs a TF2 game!

This is just potential bad PR removal, nothing else. Don't bother whining about it, Blizzard will continue to cater to any red alarms like this so they don't get any bad media press.
Except Capcom removed the camera on Mika's ass solely out of caution. They didn't get complaints afaik.
I mean, I can see where they are coming from, it's a pretty overt ass slap zoomed right in your face.
At least the kept they smacked ham sound effect.
who gives a shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit about tracer's ass
You're all making such a big deal about such an insignificant little non-issue

If I had known it was gonna be this easy to make a change with a character only small handful would actually want to happen in game, I would have made an account sooner.

I wouldn't call that ass insignificant.

Keep enabling that slippery slope.
The removal of the pose itself isnt too big deal imo but what bothers me is Blizzards reasoning for why its going to be removed/overhauled. They say that they dont want anyone to feel uncomfortable about something, so basically they might soon remove Reaper because someones daughter found him too scary.
Except Capcom removed the camera on Mika's ass solely out of caution. They didn't get complaints afaik.
They got complaints from people that bought SF5 to look at asses.
This is entirely satirical btw.
I said what I wanted to say already.
This is Blizzard doing what Blizzard always does. They include everyone and does not want to hurt anyone, but especially they do not want to hurt themselves.
It's a small change and a butt is just that, a butt.
If you feel a great loss, you can always be sure to find some Tracer butt art online in the next coming days.
Overwatch Patch notes 2016.3.28:

GAME IS RUINED, UNPLAYABLE
dumb as fuck
videogame about two opposing forces killing the shit out of each other mercilessly but someone standing with their butt visible is uncomfortable
GAME IS RUINED, UNPLAYABLE
Nah, you aren't that stupid. Give me a break.
Nah, you aren't that stupid. Give me a break.
I guess I should clarify:
There are two kinds of stupid occurring in regards to the Tracer butt 'issue'.
One is that THE BUTT MUST GO
The other is NO THE BUTT MUST STAY
The butt is entirely inconsequential. Both sides are grasping at two different kinds of straws, but the butt-must-go side are a bunch of babies.
The point is it shouldn't have ever been addressed. Honestly the fact they're willing to pander to such asinine bullshit makes me worried about how the game actually plays if they really need to keep certain groups attention that badly.
Know what's uncomfortable? Seeing Mei lodge an ice spike through someone's face.
Change spike to snowball. Make a poof of snow on impact and have enemies just go "brrr nap time" when they are eliminated.
The point is it shouldn't have ever been addressed.
Agreed 110%
Honestly the fact they're willing to pander to such asinine bullshit
Blizzard always makes the final decisions and it could be for any number of reasons. The crybabies don't actually control how the game is made, that's Blizzard.
makes me worried about how the game actually plays if they really need to keep certain groups attention that badly.
how the game plays? How does this relate to Tracer's butt?
It's easier to make arguments when you break a sentence apart because bits of it become out of context.
What if the miniskirt is made optional?

I'm sorry you don't like how I reply to quotes.

Or alternatively: It's even easier to not argue at all.
Yeah that pose removal is a bit dumb considering it's pretty innocuous but at the same time poeple are blowing it way out of proportion yet again
"This is what makes me not buy a game."
:'(((((((
I get that Blizzard probably shouldn't be removing things because someone posted an essay on how someone's butt is in the game, but frankly the pose was pretty awkward and just not very well done. I think it would have needed reworking anyway.
The only thing offensive about Tracer right now is the accent. But that's half the charm eh lads
What a shitfest.
So why not keeping the pose and just add a new one? Removing one after one person complained seems like either bad timing or terrible reasoning to me tbh.
I'd like to hear how many other heroes can have the same pose and how it's okay for them to have it but not Tracer.
So why not keeping the pose and just add a new one? Removing one after one person complained seems like either bad timing or terrible reasoning to me tbh.
because it's a damage control response, he's directly contradicting himself and hoping nobody will notice.
- one person complains (which really is the source of the controversy imo)
- arbitrarily remove pose from game
- "we want everybody to feel heroic etc etc."
- oh shit people are mad
- post a response saying that it wasn't about sexism at all, but also at the same time say that you stand behind your previous reasoning and that it was your creative direction all along (???)
- mass community feedback says they want the pose to stay, nothing is done
- we'll have a new pose anyway
tbh the core of the issue is that one person could get content removed from the game, but a community wide outcry can't get it re-added back in
also if they wanted to remove this pose in the first place, why did they even make the original post in that guys thread? there is nothing that suggests that it was done for any other reason apart from this new contradictory post
Told people this.
Got downvoted to -35 because people wanted to complain more so Blizzard can continue to hear it or some shit.
I do find it dumb to complain since it won't change shit. Maybe the best outcome for everyone would be that Blizzard add in more poses to fit Tracer's character, but I dunno.
I can't really blame people for whining about the change when whining was all it took to get the change made in the first place.
Hopefully the new pose is cool because the old one was boring
