Gonna post what I posted in the SH thread here too because I love attention and will die if the internet doesn't know about my opinions.
Personally I think the pose was ass (haha see what I did) because I didn't get any sort of emotion or meaning from it: it didn't look celebratory, it didn't look sexy, it didn't look heroic, couldn't get a read on how tracer was feeling, just looked like a weird mishmash of shit to me. To expand upon the 'not sexy' part, I thought that the focal point of the pose became her ass by virtue of her default costume being very form-fitting, the camera being behind tracer and the lack of any other identifiable form of expression coming from the pose. In other words there was nothing else going on, the pose looked weird and her facial expression was pretty bland.
So from that I can sort of understand the complaint of 'it's not in character for tracer' as imo the pose was displaying no character at all. I would prefer a pose that displays some sort of character expression, whether that be sexual or not. Although I would also agree that tracer's personality shown thus far does not suggest she would frequently call attention to her appearance outside of her outfit choice.
What [I]TRIGGERS[/I] me tho is people calling this shit censorship, I could barely stand reading about the r-mika stuff for the same reason. People trying to build a platform against these changes by sensationalizing them and calling it censorship, then trying to rally against it on the basis that it is censorship is crap. Just call it what it is, you're mad because a group you don't like are having effects you don't like on media that you do like, it doesn't have to be more than that. Don't try and legitimize your viewpoint by bastardizing a much more serious issue and claim it is occurring. External influence causing voluntary change and external influence causing/implementing mandatory change are not the same thing.

No. Just a pose is getting changed. What the fuck how does this expand to the removal of an entire class over 1 pose?
I don't care about Tracer's barely existent ass, but I don't like seeing any company bend so easily.
If they wanted to change her worst pose they should have simply ignored the post and changed it or show something indicating they planned on changing it before that post was made.
Not acknowledged directly to pander for brownie points and creating this lame schism/drama.
It really worries me that Blizzard are listening to community feedback when 99% of it is total shit.

The whole situation is dumb and Blizzard should spend more time finishing the game and less time reading through the garbage that is their own forums.

I'm pretty sure it's because Widowmaker is supposed to be a sexy character which is why he didn't say anything about her.
I've said this on the other thread, but honestly it was the choice of the devs to change the pose and as long as it doesn't affect the quality of the game, there's not much of an issue.
I know this is the [I]Overwatch [/I][I]thread[/I], but can we not drag that stuff here? There's three other threads for discussing that particular topic.

Well, the forum is for beta feedback, and the game is reliant on player feedback.
How else are they supposed to get feedback? By reading some random forum thread like this one?

Nah they gave codes out to a bunch of randoms that know nothing about making a game and it became a glorified demo. Betas only give useful data if you keep them internal.
But I'm sure the thousands of posts from 12 year olds about how X character is OP was really useful for the development.
