Ugh... There's at least a dozen skins now that take me a few seconds before I can tell who the hell I'm looking at.
That shinobi-looking Ninja is actually Genji the robot Ninja, not the other one? That white mariachi is Reaper? That scarecrow straight out of LoL is Junkrat? That hockey player is the Brazilian DJ?
Like what the fuck is the lore between those? Silhouettes and colour palettes are all over the place.

More colors with this skin please. I actually think this is better than the rest of them and actually looks color coordinated.
Also making the Brazilian DJ a hockey player is kinda out of place if you ask me. If they wanted to go nuts with a skin, I would have probably went with 60s Rollerblade Disco.

Lore wise? There's no justification for most (although that Genji skin is him prior to becoming a cyborg). But in terms of the silhouette I don't think they're as bad as they look. Out of those, the only one that really makes an arguably major change to the sillhouette is Lucio losing his dreads but I don't think even that's a big deal. And keep in mind, seeing them in motion makes them a lot easier to identify.
The only one I've ever heard of people having trouble with is Mariachi Reaper (who I've heard people mistaking for McCree at a glance).

Keep in mind that the skin previews do little to show how you might determine/confuse what character's what during actual gameplay. In game there are still the unique weapon hold types, animations, particle effects, and distinctive sounds between each hero to make them stand out.
Soldier:76 has been disabled for the time being.

I was able to recognize everyone besides Genji. I thought it was Hanzo at first, but then I realized Hanzo doesn't use a sword and is pretty much always holding his bow. It's just something you need to get used to.
There was a few skins that were missed in the collection usaokay posted.

Oh, it was also noted that the two skins that were shipped for Soldier 76 aren't included because Blizzard shipped empty textures instead. Whenever the patch comes this week to fix that issue listed above they will probably get added.

I hope the drop rates for skins isn't too low, or else I'm only ever gonna' see these skins on other people.

They aren't. You get chests each level, and the first couple of levels go by pretty quickly. And any duplicate loot pieces you get is converted into in-game currency which you can put towards buying a specific thing.
Though it's important to note that the rates have been increased for the beta, so the final product [I]may [/I]end up being more of a slog.

Source? Although there is definitely a possibility under the beta 'things may change' clause, I can find no direct reference to your claim. It's already known that each level will reward you with a new loot crate. Jeff Kaplan has explicitly said as much.

I can't point to a specific statement, I've just heard it said a lot when the beta launched. It could be the people that told me where wrong.
And I'm, not saying that levels won't award you a crate, just that the experience needed could be subject to change.
