Query: If tracer is hurt and then picks up a health-kit and then uses her Recall ability, does she go back to being hurt?
Query: If tracer is hurt and then picks up a health-kit and then uses her Recall ability, does she go back to being hurt?
no. i tested this specifically during the stress test weekend.
Looks pretty confirmed to me.
so they are making their money in the game off loot boxes then cool
I believe they already said a month ago that they have two new heroes in the testing phase
More multiplayer games need to adopt the norm of only having microtransactions on cosmetics. No exclusive weapon and no power up card.
I'd prefer it if they didn't have any microtransactions at all actually
Publishers gotta make money somehow.
Isn't that why the base game costs money?
Isn't that why the base game costs money?
And it costs 70 fucking dollars here, those cosmetics better all be bloody free
More multiplayer games need to adopt the norm of only having microtransactions on cosmetics. It's just inherently unbalanced giving more experienced players better stuff. Imo progression systems should be entirely cosmetic.

I'd much rather have a MOBA-style (or Natural Selection-style) one game progression. This has nothing to do with Overwatch tho so I don't fucking know Unless they add some kind of gamemode incorporating progression but I dunno about all that, haven't played the actual game so I don't know how it all works.
it's just like halo 5's req packs but just because it's blizzard no one will bitch about it on the internet :ok: if i get a box every level then i don't rly care imo.
I just want my 76 to be the prettiest girl at the dance
And it costs 70 fucking dollars here, those cosmetics better all be bloody free
Microtransaction are necessary for upcoming updates. Its a very confident system, each player spends at least 40$ for this game and exspects to have much fun as long as possible. This means the player wants updates and regualry added content into the game which can be funded with microtransactions of all other players. The developers can never create updates over several years, with only 40$ of each player. Besides, nobody have to spend mony for cosmetic stuff, but its more likely that a big part of the community does for their own amusement. Its no duty to buy them.

The cosmetics are meant to be a vanity thing, and if people want to pay to get the shit they want quicker than not paying and Blizzard gets a little bit extra, then why the fuck not. Especially if it enables free DLC etc.

I like that. Just not somebody coming into the game at an advantage over somebody else right off the bat.
I like the way it is now and there's no need to change it. I have no idea if they plan on adding multiple weapons in the future but it's purely cosmetic at the moment and that's fine.

Was just giving my opinions on progression systems and unlocks.
I like how it is right now, leveling only gives more cosmetic things. Meaning levels don't really matter in the long run, it just shows how long you've played.
Cosmetics are by far the best microtransaction method, they don't touch gameplay at all and are entirely optional. If you want a flaming roadhog hook or a genji blade with lightning particles be prepared to pony up. As long as paid heroes and maps will never exist I don't see the problem.
REQ packs are slightly P2W. Slightly. If I want to quickly win a match, then I can buy a $2.99 pack with a high chance at good weapons/vehicles. Tho I can of course spend two hours to get a gold pack. It's been balanced by being a one-off card, so there's still a chance that I could waste it for nothing. I probably have 30 Ghost cards that I use every time and typically gives me a ton of points because of my ~skills~ At least Overwatch primarily has cosmetics.
but if i just play arena, the main part of MP that is used in esports/etc., then the req packs do nothing but serve as cosmetics but eh whatever.
So i guess people are playing the closed beta right now or I'm missing something ?
Yes, the closed beta is still going on, the weekend one was unfortunately separate.
Welp, decided to pre-order it. Because - why not, also i'm not played any fast-paced action game for damn long time. Tho i'll need to play on second PC - my one having bad graphics card, but that's not big problem. :v: Something tells me that this game will be good.
probably going to buy the collectors edition for reference, i have never bought a collectors edition for a game
Why are people complaining about cosmetic microtransactions? They already said all heroes and maps will be free and the game is only 40$ (as opposed to Battleborn being 60$). They need to make some sort of money after launch if you want the game to survive and thrive. We've got it extremely great.
even then you can still get cosmetics without paying for them, its just like tf2 :v:
im happy with the current system because i dont have to buy cosmetics (and i wont. i never have, and i have no intentions to ever change that) but other people will, which funds future free updates for me. its win win, because we all get what we want.
I'd also like to commend Blizzard for making the support characters fun to play. I usually hate healing, but whenever I got into a match and nobody else went healer, I didn't mind switching. They're all satisfying.
Onlywatch finally ends april 25, I was honorably a member all the way to the end.
