Overwatch - The world needs heroes, and Blizzard needs a TF2 game! - Games

I want in-game trading and an api to see what's in an inventory so we can have trading sites.

I have two big deadlines in this last week or so of April buit then my reward is open beta and release in May good times ahead

Just two weeks until I can pretend I got invited to the closed beta

Granted the AAA budgets are so bloated these days that this seems to be the exception, not the norm. I won't bother with my opinion but that would be the likely explanation.

The game will totally recoup costs with the $40 price tag alone, but if they want to offer content like maps and heroes for free down the line for a significant amount of time (because Blizzard will no doubt be playing the long game with Overwatch), they can't do that with the base price alone. The money needs to come from somewhere. Cosmetics is the most consumer friendly place they can get it from.

Though I should point out Blizzard verifiably makes enough money to keep Overwatch afloat regardless of it having micro-transactions. It's simply that Blizzard is a company interested in making as much money as possible. If people will pay for it, and the cost can be made up for, then they should unquestionably add it. It's understandable why people don't necessarily like it. But complaining to the company (Blizzard in this case) would be missing the point. When its the consumers who are the enablers of such behavior. I see this a lot.

Did Lucio really need a hockey skin, one that doesn't really fit his theme, before the game even came out? Most characters have amazing skins that fit, but that... not really.

I think the hockey skin is tame compared to that.

I miss the beta, I'm so thirsty I need another taste of it Just let us fight bots, I'm sure the people that have been playing since october 2015 for free won't mind

Soldier 76 is a fucking badass. I usually don't care much for the generic soldier stereotypes but something about him just clicks with me.

Out of morbid curiosity, for those that got invited to the weekend beta, what was your haul from loot boxes? Mine were decent to good, and eventually I got two really good yellow-tier skins, the 'nam skin for Soldier and one of the riverboat skins for McCree, both I was really satisfied with
