To be honest all I wish is that the freezing shit did way less damage, so you'd use that to freeze and then the icicles to actually do damage. Right now it feels like playing against a Pyro that can also stun you, which isn't fun at all to play against.
That and being able to stop everyone by blocking a spawn door is kinda messed up.
also fuck roadhog. game needs a ton of balance work
Should I assume all your posts are jokes from here on?
can we all agree that mei needs to be removed from the game?
learn 2 counter mei shit long range and has shit health shoot her long range. Mcree, Widowmaker, Pharah, junkrat, soldier 76, genji, torbjorn, bastion, etc. reinhardt's shield blocks meis shit too, so you could get a close range guy behind his shield and rip mei to shreds. if you get up close to mei, a character built for defense, you deserve to get frozen
can we all agree that mei needs to be removed from the game?

also fuck roadhog. game needs a ton of balance work
All of the characters you're complaining about aren't even considered good in the current meta game. If you were complaining about Lucio or Reinhardt you might have some credibility. But you're the classic case of "these characters are OP because they killed me." Mei is actually a bit of a joke. She's annoying, but not OP.
i just like to critique the game. i don't have a blind love for the game like everyone else does in its current state i'd give it a 7/10. Fun for a little bit, then just gets repetitive.

What about her is overpowered? How many good matchups to bad matchups does she have and what kind of tier are those characters making up the matchups? In what ranges does she dominate/get dominated by and by what characters? There's a lot of meta to this game and it would be nice to discuss exactly what is wrong or right about them instead of spewing something anyone can repeat.
I got a beta key from a friend and so far it seems pretty fun. Unfortunately, the only character I'm even halfway decent with is Roadhog. Anyone else I just get wrecked.
Can't wait for thursday to play this game. Are headshots important or are they only a factor of the bow guy and widowmaker?
Mercy is infuriating to play as. I love her character, but not even having a smidgen of self-heal (easily could've given her some kind of small regen while healing someone else), you need to depend entirely on teammates not being morons so that you can fly to them. And even when some things go your way and you heal a bunch, the endgame screen is just going to be fucking Reapers who just run around and tap Q.
also fuck roadhog. game needs a ton of balance work
I have no idea how heros work or how to counter them: The Post
Can't wait for thursday to play this game. Are headshots important or are they only a factor of the bow guy and widowmaker?
Fairly sure all heroes who shoot bullets can do headshots But on Widow as far as I'm concerned, bodyshots do just fine

Holy shit Genji is so fun. I thought he would have a super generic personality and every time I've fought one they just slide forward and run around, but playing Genji is a fucking experience.
so far I think there's an incredible amount of balance in the game. I honestly think Tracer could do with a slightly longer recharge time for her leaps, maybe 0.5 or 1.0s longer. It feels too easy to just run around a pillar while sustaining fire and then just flash away. [editline]3rd May 2016[/editline]
if you get up close to mei, a character built for defense, you deserve to get frozen
even then, tracer and soldier 76 are absolutely perfect for getting close to mei because they're really the only heroes with the ability to move fast enough. granted if the mei player can flick the mouse and aim really well you'll still probably get frozen, but soldier especially is perfect for sneaking behind the front line and destroying her
I have been stuck into this all day. It's so fun. £30 well spent it seems. I took a gamble because I'm not usually the type of person to enjoy these types of games where you need good team comps.
Only a few things that annoy me about the game. fighting a mei just feels cheap and unfun, she can left click stun you in a couple seconds then right click your stationary head for a quick kill ( who the fuck increased her right click attack speed?), atleast roadhog has to aim his cc accurately which lasts much shorter than mei's. Maybe i would feel the same way about Mcree's grenade but i havent faced any good ones i guess?, he also cant become invincible for a short period of time. Bastion is also much more unfun to play against than when i played the other test weekends. I feel like they took some of his counters away now that he cant be flanked. Same with torbjorns turrets, they turn so damn fast you can die in a 1v1 against it. Basically turrets and channeled weapons i guess Do we know if they are going to add a real money price for skins also, and daily quests like hearthstone/heroes?
I don't think you can really argue about balance in this game if you aren't willing to explore and discover new ways to counter a certain hero. You wanting to main a hero but because s/he is useless against one hero and should be balanced around your main is a shitty argument for all of those who want to play competitively. They could instead add a more casual gamemode or their matchmaking will be improved when the game actually comes out. Granted, there are some cooldowns I don't agree with on certain heroes, but none of the heroes have an easy "Press to insta-kill with no effort required to use" unless the other team is really that bad. Sidenote, but is Bastion really that annoying? I mean I encounter some decent Bastions in higher-level play, but you can counter them very easily. He only gets tough to kill when his team works around him. Also, really good Mei players are far and few between from what I experienced. The only time Mei was having a decent game was because my team wasn't watching the flanks, or kept chasing her in a 4 v 1 with her ult ready. McCree flashbangs, Tracer phases, Hanzo's spread arrow, list goes on for counters to Mei tbh
I forgot how bad I was at FPS games.

[editline]4th May 2016[/editline] Totally no bias
All these Mei complaints when McCree makes Mei look like a bit of a joke to be honest.

There is a reason 2 bastions on defence is so popular its easy to support them, harder to get your team mates to counter. I cant speak for full 5 man teams but ive played with 1-3 friends today and bastions are always a problem that needs alot more effort to work around than other comps.
I like how Lucio is the best passive medic. Slap on healing beats and stop paying attention to your team because if they're bad - that's their own issue. There's no focusing on healing and damage like you have to as Zenny or Mercy.
Curious what gametypes do you guys prefer, the single point capture or the payload attack and defend. I think i actually prefer the single capture point in the middle for both teams to fight over, less time running back to fights.
How is internet for you guys? I play fine for a couple of matches, suddenly the whole fucking game decides to pinball me around.
Payload's fun, but I like the capture point modes more.
:words:
Wasn't speaking to you in particular about the main comment but it seems to be a common trend. People shouldn't argue that characters need to be re-balanced or removed because they literally only play 3 heroes. There's a reason why it's a team game. Work with your team, you shouldn't expect an easy win if you aren't willing to adapt to how the other team is playing. Mei was pathetic when she was first released. If you've gotten close enough to be frozen like that; she deserves the kill I'd say. I seriously don't see how Bastion is hard to kill; if you're in a high enough level bracket to be playing against a team comp and chemistry like that, there's a reason why you're there so start adjusting. It's the same idea as people who are playing Support/Mercy for you guys. Do you think they always want to default as a Support because no one else wants to suck it up and play as Support?
