I think McCree looks like a lot of fun personally, he seems to be able to do pretty well at both medium and short range and ult seems like it can be really effective if used properly. Also I like his backstory posted on the overwatch site.

It's like Blizzards revenge for Dota 2 :v:
It seems like doing damage and killing things charges your ult? And deadeye seems ridiculously weak.

So basically it is probably better for supporting your team or cleaning up. Also watching McCree's gameplay video he uses it a lot so he seems to have an easy time of charging it up.

Man seeing actual gameplay has made me real excited to get my hands on the game itself. Gameplay and map designs seem really fun, and I love the character voices and design. I want to play McCree, Tracer, and Hanzo so badly. Also Mercy sounds like Vahlen from XCOM.
I hope Reaper gameplay comes out soon, as edgy as he is, I'm kinda interested to see how he plays out with his shotties and Wraith Form backpedal ability. Already sold on Tracer since she's pretty much a hit and run class which is my playstyle.
I'm going to play solely as Torbjörn.
I don't know if anyone here has played SMNC, but the tracer character reminds me a lot of the assassin from smnc. Which is great, because I was great at the assassin and I look forward to using the tracer.
I don't know if anyone here has played SMNC, but the tracer character reminds me a lot of the assassin from smnc.
How?
How?
Her butt
Her butt
Fun fact: Assassin (from SMNC) has 3 butt cheeks.
How?
Keep in mind it's been a while since I've played smnc because it's a dead game, but the really high mobility of tracer (ie. the teleport) seems really close in terms of mobility as the assassin's leap skill, and they both seem to have low damage guns. While the assassin does have to be in melee range to do any amount of damage, it seems that tracer has to be at a relatively close range to hit with most of the pistol shots and get damage out anyway. IIRC they did something similar with the demon hunter where it was the last class they showed off and it was a bit closer to the release date than the other character videos.

Anyway, once there is a public beta or the game gets released I hope the HUD elements won't be in your face that much. Off the top of my head, the things that annoy me the most is the reverberating moaning sound when low on health and HUD elements covering your entire screen (especially Mercy's heal patient bar, who the fuck thought it would be a good idea to shove that dead-center in the screen). Other minor things would be the many over the top flashy effects that end up into explosions of distracting particles everywhere you look, and the viewmodel FOV.
there's a lot of people that like hud elements centralized, like in planetside 2. and then there's a lot of people that like hud elements as far away from the center as possible, like in counter-strike. it's all about preference vs mechanics.
I'd like to have the hud elements rather in the middle of my screen. It's a lot easier to keep an eye on them without looking away from the crosshair. In tf2, I always had my health, ammo and other stuff pretty much beneath my crosshair which worked great for me. It would be perfect if the hud would be as moddable as in tf2 but I really doubt that.
Reaper Gameplay. His play style seems uninteresting.
That FOV coupled with these huge ass weapon viewmodels should be a criminal offense. They literally take 45 % of the screen. Couple that with the sand producing a full blown bloom and i'm physically sick after 30 seconds. Annoying because i remain really interested by Overwatch. But jesus, these videos don't make the game justice.

Also, did they replace the epic "Time to reap" with "Die die die", seriously?
Torbjörn Gameplay
Interesting. Torbjorn is a lot more battle worthy than I expected. Also repairing the turret doesn't seem to require scrap.
Considering one of the main ways of getting scrap is to kill enemies he would have to be at least some what viable on the frontlines, otherwise he'd be mostly unable to ever upgrade his turret.
Considering one of the main ways of getting scrap is to kill enemies he would have to be at least some what viable on the frontlines, otherwise he'd be mostly unable to ever upgrade his turret.
Yeah but if he can at least deal some damage to enemies he can just go into his molten core ult and use the infinite scrap to build the turret til it runs out.
Yeah but if he can at least deal some damage to enemies he can just go into his molten core ult and use the infinite scrap to build the turret til it runs out.
Maybe but that seems like a bit of an unreliable method considering all the characters that have shields that make dealing damage harder or if you went up against decent enough players. Also it's possible that Blizz will rebalance how ults charge or make players lose them on death before the game releases. Another thing that it seems is that the turret is weaker than say, the Engie's sentry in TF2. The turret seems like it's more about making it more dangerous to enter an area than outright denying it to everybody.
I really can't wait for this game. It's strange, Blizzard has been taking over all of the game genres I used to turn to Valve for
