Overwatch - The world needs heroes, and Blizzard needs a TF2 game! - Games

Seeing how excited I am for Overwatch made me look back and realize some irony. When the game was first announced I hated what it seemed like. (no gameplay helped either) It seemed like a TF2 ripoff with the way they described it and the game modes. But afterwards when people got their hands on it and they showed gameplay I did basically a complete 180. Maybe it shows exactly what's needed for videogames really. Pre-rendered trailers will only get you so much hype, but actual gameplay will make your audience crave it. I also suppose this is something I wanted to get off my chest because I felt kinda bad about being on the Overwatch hate bandwagon.

I'll just hold onto my launcher now, just in case I don't get any invites.

Pretty sure they update their games around 10~11 AM PST. I would think Overwatch would go live then too.

It saddens me to see people hyping up Reaper and Tracer (Tracer of which I will probably main) and McCree, but no love for Bastion. He doesn't look like he'll be as powerful as the rest of the cast, but I can't help but love the guy. His design and gameplay make me smile. Also I'm preparing for the team comp to be one Lucio, one Mercy, one Pharah, the rest Tracer.

Blizzard generally does international stuff between 19:00 and 01:00 UTC.

As with any and all of Blizzard's betas, I will surely not get in

I know my chances are VERY LOW but i made a new account and signed up for the beta 5 months after it was allowing sign ups. I can only hope this will happen to me.

Literally nobody has been selected for the beta yet.

I got in pretty early on the HoTS beta so I'm hoping I'll at least get flagged on some of the early waves. I'm just going to assume ahead of time that I'm not gonna' make the cut. I mean I signed up to Battle.net exclusively to sign up for the beta and have made approximately zero use outside of that - doesn't paint an especially pretty picture for Blizzard.
