I got in pretty early on the HoTS beta so I'm hoping I'll at least get flagged on some of the early waves.
[editline]27th October 2015[/editline]
Haven't some people already installed the game due to it unlocking in their launchers?
It's either a bug or someone screwing with the launcher to download the game. No one is flagged for beta yet.
If you got in, show us Overwatch on your Battle.net profile.

Actually I was slightly wrong about one thing, the Overwatch EU Twitter just tweeted that the date you signed up for the beta may have some impact. Actual account creation date probably still has no impact though.

That's good news for me at least, I signed up forever ago.
Anybody with the launcher can install and run the game, you can go do it right now, it's just a bug with the launcher, being able to play it is another matter.

Beta invites are 100% random, your Blizz history, how early you signed up, and things like that have no impact, the only thing that may have some weight is your specs.
:snip:
As far as downloading the game early goes, Blizz confirmed that they won't punish you for doing it like some people suggested, so if you want to you can go install the game.

Here's how:
1. Go to the directory of your battle.net app (Where the battle.net launcher.exe is located)
2. Shift right click somewhere in the directory ( In a empty space)
3. Open command window here.
4. Type "battle.net.exe --game=prometheus(_dev) --install" without the quotes.
Sadly I can't seem to install it. Literally just updated Battle.net
Well, I signed up on Day 1, so hopefully this will help.
Oh fuck, I've applied at least twice because I didn't remember if I had done so already. The first application was on one of the first days but the other was much much later. I seriously hope it didn't overwrite the earlier sign-up time.

you can hear the hype all the way down from r/overwatch
i cant wait for the beta and i hope i get lucky
I never got invited to any Blizzard beta and I've been their customer since like 2006 and played/have all their games and my beta signup thingy is always signed up for everything. Screw you Blizzard :(
They said it will take several hours to add all of the accounts to the beta, so the hype continues I suppose.

12 hours to be exact.
For those wanting to watch Star_ and Jerma are streaming it already.

I signed the day the game was announced, but I also tried again 1 week ago, what if it overrode my first one :hammered:

I signed the day it was announced too and I don't appear to be in. So I doubt that has anything to do with it.

I already know I'm not gonna get in so I'm not gonna get my hopes up for nothing.
This game looks a lot more fun now that some overacting neckbeard isn't the only streamer.
Welp, the recent Battle.net launcher update won't even let me get to the login screen any more. At least I could change my in-game settings for a while there.
[editline]Edited:[/editline]
Eh, you can still launch it directly from the Overwatch folder but still no login obviously
I'm assuming they'll start by handing it off to content creators and streamers, then to people who have active wow subs or are regular starcraft players or whatever, then they'll delete a ton of codes, and then give about 17 out to the rest of the people who signed up.
Blizzard closed betas are so hard to get into I just click the check mark in beta preferences and never think about it again.
It's not worth the stress.
Yeah. the chances of you actually getting in are incredibly slim so it's like why bother even worrying about it.
The harder it is to get into just makes me want to play it more.

Can you play the game?
Because that's the best way to tell.
Either the b.net app or https://us.battle.net/account/management/
