I haven't played the game, only watch some videos, but it seems to me that they've got over the whole problem of classes being OP by making every single class OP

you just described reinhardt people are understimating winston right now because his lower dps and shield hp compared to the other tanks

McCree is too strong at all ranges. Widowmaker is far too spammy for how hard-hitting she is. And Mercy easily possesses the most powerful ultimate in the game. Pharah is strong like pretty much everyone else, but is far more niche in terms of how easily she's countered. His role is pretty well-established at this point as an incredibly durable and disruptive tank who thrives on breaking defensive holds by jumping on the vulnerable back row heroes. People just don't like playing tanks since tanks aren't going to be the ones who are racking in the kills.

the problem i see with wiston still is that as they add more thinge to counter pharah and more spicfically her ult winstrons shield feels less an less useful and while mobile i dont think he really brings much else to a team, furthermore bunching up under his shield is just begging for an AoE ult Mcree still feels kinda a bit over the top for me and widowmaker is just....well its a sniper so yeah
