However you will not be able to play until you are flagged.

Well, I just finished playing. Turns out I got lost in this game for 6 hours straight. Managed to get into a premade with some cool people I ran into while pubbing, since none of my friends are in the beta. That was probably the most fun I've ever had in a multiplayer shooter. The last time I spent that much time in a mp fps consecutively was TF2 during its prime. I honestly thought I was just getting old and becoming less fond of games, but man, Overwatch has proven that wrong.

So do you get an email if you get accepted into the beta or do you have to check your account? Because I can't check my battle net account right now and I'd rather just check my email be disappointed right now than have a sliver of hope and be disappointed later.

I wish you could buy the special edition and get beta access. But I guess it's cool they aren't putting the beta behind a paywall? though in this instance I WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME.

To be honest they SHOULD put the beta behind a paywall (at least, an increased chance of getting in). Since you paid money for it, it means that you are INTERESTED in playing the game, compared to some random account that hasn't been logged in for 6 months.

No higher chance bullshit, just you paid for something - you got it.

Is there a list of how large the beta is currently, eg how many accounts total have been flagged? It'd also be interesting to know how many flagged accounts have yet to actually play it

I actually want to preorder this game, but doing it while only having paysafecard as an online payment option is an utter bitch, since battlenet balance cards are a bitch to find here. It's utterly annoying blizzard doesn't support paysafe.

So what are the chances of a "can steal any ability" character making it into this game? I've always liked those types of characters whenever they are present in games, like Shang Tsung in MK and Rubick in Dota. Doesn't really have a face, shape shifts into anything he wants, etc. I could see that working well in Overwatch if implemented well.

Lucio's really fun. His gun is kinda crazy, does ridiculous damage imo. Definitely my favorite support in the game though.

Maybe we'll get lucky and get in since participation v flagged accounts are down because everyone's playing fallout

Star also says D'Va is bad. That's when I stopped watching his stream.

Mei is ridiculous imo. Everything on her is useful for every situation and it's just incredibly painful to fight against.

I haven't played but when I first saw mei announced I could tell it was gonna be absolute shit to fight against Doesn't seem like it requires aim to do that freeze effect, and she can just shield up and heal whenever she feels like it

Some time yesterday I was playing Junkrat against a Mei, and while she isolated herself in her ice shield, I threw a C4 on it, and then detonated it as soon as her shield broke. Instantly killed her. Was probably the most satisfying feeling in the world.
