who the hell 'gave' you overwatch if not blizzard??
Apparently all blizzard employees have a certain amount of invites to give out, I just happened to know a guy :P
Anyone who's got access and wants to play?
I would if you were from USA :( I can't handle other country's pings and i am sure you wouldn't like it either.
I've got like two accounts, I play USA only with the second one. Just hit me up with your tag.
One thing Overwatch has over TF2: the full game will be on consoles. Not the 2007 version like TF2 has, just the full on game.
When TF2 evolved in content, Valve wanted to get the content on the consoles too. But Microsoft for example wanted to charge for the extra content so Valve just said: Yeah no.

Ster is playing lucio on his stream right now btw
They did it with Left4Dead 2 just fine.
[thumb]http://puu.sh/loqe1.png[/thumb] I'm not so sure about that

Afterwards Chet admitted that Valve was thinking about selling the DLC on PC too. Simply because it costs too much money to produce content of this size.
I really want to see how Volskaya map looks like, because I live in Saint-Petersburg and I really hope that they wont screw up the visuals.
i have bad news for you, the game is very stylized and cartoony
No, I mean the landmarks and general layout of the city.
i have bad news for you, the game is very stylized and cartoony
It's not /that/ cartoony. It's a little bit resource intensive for the better graphics (for example, my 750 ti overclocked a lot can't run anything more than medium and still get 60 fps) Anyways, the graphics aren't what makes this game awesome, it's the gameplay! People always complain about graphics, even with fallout 4. Fallout 4 even had BETTER graphics than fallout new vegas and people still complained. You shouldn't complain about graphics in a game that's not about graphics. However, some of the newer characters they added have added some stereotypical elements. For example, the character that plays in a massive robot is a stereotypical Japanese video game player. When you play as her, you hear stereotypical sounds from Japanese games. She also says some things like "Nerf this!" It's also not supposed to be set in the real world (even though some of the maps are from the real world)... you can tell by the Widowmaker's taunt, which says "What's an aimbot?"
Calling D.Va Japanese, saying the game doesn't take place in the real world, just stop
Sure, she is Korean. It doesn't mean it doesn't have Japanese effects when playing her. It's a huge stereotype. Facepunch needs a confused rating.
Facepunch needs a confused rating.
Informative works well. Or dumb, dumb's pretty broad.
Isn't the D.Va character a reference to some Starcraft pro? That's what I assumed some of the lines like "nerf this!" were drawn from.
She's an SC2 pro in the lore of the game, too.
Her backstory on the Overwatch site never actually mentions Starcraft. It just says she was a professional gamer. Granted it's fairly obvious considering this is Blizzard.
OH, there is no real D.Va, she's apparently a fictional starcraft player
