I almost had a heart attack when I saw this, but then realised it was still invitational.
Is there such a thing as an un-heart attack? Because I think I just had one.
They're sending out more invites. Maybe you'll get one.

Can you give me her number? :downs:

How does half an invite work :v:
How does half an invite work :v:
You're selected for a 50/50 chance of getting an invite.
im going to drink and eat my feelings that night if i don't get in. Then i'll watch you guys stream while i drink myself into oblivion
I just want to play on my outdated laptop please
Oh fuck, why did I think that the test weekends would be free for anyone to enter?
Gotta stay positive I guess, if I get in and the game is really addictive, I will be very disappointed once the playtime ends, but if I don't get in my hype stays slightly lower and the wait for the final release/regular beta key will be less excruciating
Watching Overwatch streams became extremely boring :tired:

You've consumed all the hype Blizzard wanted to give you.
I got into the Paladins beta. At least that sates any hype I had for Overwatch as of this moment.
Pretty sure people who have already pre-purchad the game have priority in selection for the beta test weekend, even though they didnt explicitly mention it.

you make me wanna pre-order on the off chance that this is true
:fist:

If they wanted to incentivise pre-orders, they would have said so. They have nothing to gain by doing so in secret.

well it's kind of implied
they were already pretty selective with who got to play the regular beta, who's to say they're not doing the same this weekend

A video about updates on Overwatch.

Who's to say they won't downprioritise people who have alread pre-purchased the game seeing as they don't need anymore convincing to give Blizzard their money?
I've been playing atleast 5 hours of overwatch a day since friday and it's been amazing. Tracer is really fun and so is Widowmaker. Classes generally seem very fun and *fairly* balanced, but there are exceptions. Genji feels EXTREMELY strong because of his precision shurikens. As a tracer or widowmaker, I constantly get oneshot by a single flurry of shurikens across the map. I'm hoping headshot damage is going to get looked at, because Genji is far too good because of it.
His comments on defense being too difficult for beginners to break and offense being too easy in higher play is an effect observable in TF2 as well and I don't think there is really anything you can do about it without screwing the game up altogether.
For instance, there was a huge controversy in TF2 when a very powerful medigun got unbanned in a competitive league, causing really bad stalemates.

Comp players got a ton of shit for "not being flexible" and "pandering to their meta" that time but really, they play 100% optimally, and if there's a mechanic that allows them not to lose under any circumstances if used perfectly, they can keep using it perfectly for very long periods.
This most likely couldn't happen in Overwatch due to every hero having an ultimate ability, but there are definitely other pitfalls awaiting the designers should they try and change that varying game flow across various skill levels.

They explicitly said preordering doesn't give you invite priority.
Ever since the patch, my Overwatch client is extremely unstable and will just crash at any time.
Does anybody know if the game runs on a 840m GPU? I'm going to make a battle.net account and hope i get into the beta

Oops, sorry I forgot this game doenst have beta keys

I think he's more confused to how you're just getting into beta. As in, you have to be invited.
Oh yeah, I know about that bit, I just worded it out incorrectly in there
I'd like for the actual question to be answered, though

What streamers have been saying is that the game is as easy to run as TF2 was on launch, so however you can run TF2 now you can run Overwatch better.

Dont most streamers have stupidly high comp specs, ive heard its actually pretty intense on hardware if you want to turn settings up/on. Reflections shadows ect.
Hopfully they really optimize this game since im sure a bunch of people are going to want to play this at 120 fps.

It's not true.
I've got i5 2500K, Radeon HD 5870, 8 GB Ram and my fps are:
in TF2 (dx 8, 1920x1080) - 120-400 fps (usually it's 150-200)
in Overwatch (the lowest details, 1920x1080) - 60-120 fps (usualy it's ~80 fps)
but I know that if you have GPU GTX 970 then you will have stable 120 fps on ultra/epic settings.
