Overwatch - The world needs heroes, and Blizzard needs a TF2 game! - Games

Oops, it took me some time to get that people use "IP" as "new game universe". This thread made me really confused. :v: Well, I'm really looking forward to it. The only thing I'm a bit skeptical about is how much skill the aiming and the strategies need. I'm a bit afraid that it's actually all about the strategy but the shooting will be as easy as in modern warfare shooters, so holding down M1 and that's it. If this is the case, I will drop it really soon. I guess I have to watch more of the gameplay videos. But if both, weapon handling/aiming and strategy, need skill and experience then I'm pretty sure this game is going to be great. I don't really want it to be free to play with micro transactions. But I have a feeling that this will be the case because Blizzard could get a lot more users by attracting all the ego shooter fans who don't like the other Blizzard games.

An FPS gamer said aiming matters fuck all in comparison with TF2 which honestly bothers me a bit too. Also jumping is useless for heroes not based on mobility and there aren't crates and stuff to jump on anyway.

First of all, Blizzard has lately been taking popular games and making a more casual, easier version of it (see Hearhstone, Heroes of The Storm). Secondly, both of these games are free to play, so I'd be very surprised if Overwatch will be a one time payment.

So I submitted a ticket to get my B.net account back because I forgot the password and I don't have the authenticator anymore. Tried to check the status of the ticket earlier, and found that I can only check my ticket if I log into my account. Genius.

I had to tkae a photo of my Passport and Driving License and email it to them to prove my identity because thyey thought i stole the account (because i got a new computer when i moved house and changed the password)

this looks great actually also the animations in first person, everything looks really smooth and fluid

Her blink and rewind (or whatever they were called) remind me a lot of DotA 2's Weaver.

Sniper is a defensive person no matter what the game. Your primary purpose is to scope in and wait for people to walk into your FoV. Not saying you have to camp, you can scope in and have a person walk in right away, but the person walking into your fov and getting sniped part is still there.

I mean yeah it's not unusual for competitive players to be normal people with normal lives, especially TF2 players (no support from Valve whatsoever), but it's still a fun thought when you watch him play.

I'm gonna assume this. Symmetra gun is extremely close range only. Her sentries are easily destroyed and also really short ranged when compared to Torbjorn sentry, making that her sentries are only viable for sneak kills around blind corners and that only work once. That said i haven't played the game yet and this is just my 2 cents on it. If in the end it needs a nerf, so be it, that will be seen during the Beta.

I mean she could be balanced. I obviously haven't played the game yet so I can't say she [I]is[/I] OP. She looks the part though.
