they could always try some moba game mode stuff like from monday night combat
i was actually thinking that the other day. if they had the two lane moba style the smnc used, this would legit become my favorite game on the spot. i would most likely quit playing pretty much any other game, because smnc was my favorite shit ever.
I'd personally prefer they keep away from that stuff entirely.

I just want more simple game modes. None of that lane crap. Give us CTF, or even Neutral Flag CTF like Halo had to mix it up a little bit. Hell even something like Halo's Assault mode would be nice.
They said that CTF probably won't happen because Tracer exists. They should honestly make it so you can't use your abilities while carrying the flag.
Their are other variants ofc like playload race or even "tug of war" style payloads classic TDM I simply stated something moba ish because i thought robots from the robot war could make good creeps, also good for a horde defense mode winston would be really strong/useful in KOTH

CTF is the stupid endless gridlock gamemode of TF2, even on the good maps. Overwatch doesn't need that. I don't think it can work the way some of the classes are balanced, anyways.

you could set up a bastion or dwarf to counter, i mean tracer has to actually grab the flag

The only real way I can see CTF working is if they specifically put the flag in a narrow hallway, that way it would pretty much require a team push to get to it.

mei is possibly one of the most overpowered things i've seen in a shooter if the person playing has any level of sentience, then she cannot be beaten in a close range fight (which are the important fights due to map design) the game tips for beating her is to fight her without her team being around - it's a fucking team game this doesn't happen unless people are walking from spawn [editline]29th November 2015[/editline] d.va is useless garbage her mech is worse than any other tank (the chain gun things actually do no damage at medium to long, and at short range she loses to reaper, mei, zen-fucking-yetta, archer man, basically anyone else and when she falls out of it she's a 150hp hero with no abilities (instantly dead)
Mei's ability to freeze with her primary attack makes me sweat bullets. No way should a utility that strong be tied to one of your primary means of attack in a PvP shooter game like this. Complete player immobilization should be left for her ult. [sp]also I'm biased af because I absolutely despise movement impairing attacks in PvP shooters[/sp] Junkrat gets a free pass because it's not his primary attack and I recall him not being able to plop more than one down at a time. Also you can actually do something about it if you see it coming.

Also you can actually do something about it if you see it coming.[/QUOTE] i have no problem with the immobilization after time, that's fine if it's like 3 seconds, its an interesting mechanic but definitely too strong it's the movement slow that is utterly fucking crazy look at it this way, any class that relies on speed in any meaningful sense (tracer, arrow man, black music stereotype man, ninja friend, mercy) either has to run as soon as they're hit by her using their escape abilities (good luck if you are arrow man, hope you hit a lucky ricochet arrow otherwise you're instantly dead!!!!), or pray that they manage to headshot her before they freeze if you freeze and you're a 200hp or lower hero, you are dead if you're a tank going in, and you happen to turn your back on her for 2 seconds, you are dead (everyone on her team smokes you because you cannot move) if you are tracer and you get caught on cooldown by her, you are dead if you're ninja man with slash on cooldown, you are dead if you're d.va you are dead if you're lucky enough to catch her at medium to long range, good luck killing her because she puts up the ice wall which I've never seen broken in good time by any weapon in the game, and after that she can just ice block making her INVINCIBLE, HEALING HER AND THEN GIVING HER TIME TO USE THE ICE WALL AGAIN JESUS FUCKING CHRIST her ult is enormous aoe, does a fair amount of damage and is absolutely brutal because it requires no setup like many of the other ults and comes out nearly immediately with little warning - hope you've got your movement abilities off cd because if you don't, you are dead [B]and why the fuck does she have 250hp, the joint highest of all characters other than tanks??????[/B]
[QUOTE=Cloak Raider;49211556]d.va is useless garbage[/QUOTE] let me tell you why that is wrong. dva literally makes torbjörn obsolete. she can just self-destruct his turret at any time and he can't do anything about it. the reason why this is important is because torbjörn is at his strongest when he can leisurely camp the same spot with the same turret. if he has a level 3 turret, that means he's giving out armor packs to his allies regularly. if you keep blowing up his turret, he has to spend his metal rebuilding it before he can go back to handing out armor packs. also dva's ult is really good for keeping the enemy off the point for a short period of time, since the explosion radius on it is so ridiculous and your teammates dont take damage from it. also, dva's defense matrix can block ults. i've had my black hole as zarya completely obsoleted because the enemy dva activated it just as i threw it out. i would assume it works on tracer's grenade too. that is anything but useless. if anything, the least effective tank in the game would probably be roadhog and thats only because he's the least tank-like hero. since roadhog relies so heavily on getting 1v1 kills as opposed to using crowd control or support-like moves, things that every other tank have, in order to directly benefit his team i do agree mei is stupid though
