Overwatch - The world needs heroes, and Blizzard needs a TF2 game! - Games

It would be really cool it this ends up having a Competitive environment, that is the one thing I wanted from TF2 way back when before they started coughing a hundred new items per day, but I guess it was made to be more of a "casually played"(hats collection) thing. And assuming it's Blizzard, I can see it happening.

I think the one thing I'm really enjoying about some of the gameplay of this is how it handles fighting without oversaturation of violence. It sorta gives it that extra charm, something that wouldn't be there if there was blood and gibs everywhere.

Tracer's chest thing doubles as a life-saving mechanism and a bondage harness.

Valve's been in contact with comp events organisers for over a year and they confirmed they're seriously interested in official implementation of popular competitive formats.

Symmetra and Mercy seem like an essential for every team. I imagine the pub stomping is going to be serious in this game, and I can't imagine playing public games in general very fun, 3 Widowmakers to a team.

Can you have multiples of the same character on the same team? Every match that's been shown has had asymmetric teams with no doubles, but I haven't read anything to suggest that's one of the game's rules.
