You guys realize that the game being in closed beta is one of the best options Blizzard has right
Too many people could play the beta for too long, get tired of the game and just drop it without purchasing when it releases. I can attest to this considering the exact same thing happened with Evolve for me
It drums up anticipation, considering if people really want to play the game, they'll just wait until it comes out anyway. Not getting into a beta doesn't just totally dampen one's desire to actually play the full product
I didn't get in either, I'm upset too, but I think you guys are overreacting a bit. And let's be honest both of you are probably going to buy this game on launch anyway

In fact, I got in the beta in like May, screwed around with it a bit, then forgot about it for the longest time.
Like V3nom said, the way Overwatch is going, with wider-access weekend events and the playerbase ramp up towards launch is definitely the smart way to do it. I can understand the frustration of not being able to play it when others can, but it's a little ridiculous people expressing that by saying "Blizzard not giving me beta access is a BAD BUSINESS MOVE".

Can't help but feel they let the possibility hanging to escalate the drama and get people to preorder compulsively upon hearing the good news, completely ignoring their previous concerns about the MP-only game being 40 bucks.
Game companies tend to do this nonstop these days. I'm not buying hitler in a box so I can happily sell my house for it now, what a deal.

i'll never understand why people demonize preordering. of course it's wrong on paper and there's a few standout instances where it's absolutely horrendous (which is apparent before release mind you) but who would have thought that trustworthy companies are still trustworthy????
