whenever i see reaper firing his shotguns, then proceeding to drop them clean on the floor and take out new ones, I get reminded of Drake of the 99 Dragons. Also an assassin type to just drops his empty guns on the ground and takes out new ones from nowhere. I take it Reaper isn't exactly the "sneak in, sneak out without getting caught" type of assassin, cause he is using both extremely loud weaponry, and leaving trails of shotguns in his wake.

A little bit frustrated that Blizzard didn't release a new wave this week considering last week's was for the Asia servers. I mean sure, there's just a slim chance of anybody getting in, but it's still a chance
http://funko.com/blogs/news/92901315-coming-soon-overwatch-pop Overwatch will get the Funko POP! toys treatment. First wave: - Tracer - Widowmaker - Reaper - Winston (6" jumbo size) Uhguhguhguhguhguhg
Funko POP!s are fugly 9 times out of 10 and I will never understand why they are so popular.
Easy to make and relatively cheap and Funko gets a shitton of money from licensing.
I think he meant with the consumer.
I think they look fucking hideous, but I guess I'm in the minority.
I think they look fucking hideous, but I guess I'm in the minority.
They're cheap and collectible. Have you seen how crazy popular blind bags/boxes are? The quality of the items within them are absolute garbage, but they sell like crazy anyway. I bought a Super Saiyan Goku Funko for a friend of mine on Christmas, because high quality stuff is really expensive. But I know he likes DBZ anyway so it's like.. yeah.
And here I am regularly spending $90+ on figures/statues.
I don't like the look of those things either, the thing about their design that bugs me the most is their eyes. Thankfully the only one I have is one of Heisenberg from Breaking Bad and he has sunglasses on :v:
I still think the Tracer statue looks a bit odd

Here's a post by Jeff about user created content that gives me lots of hope:
wow if they actually go through with that theyll be more user/mod friendly than valve has been with TF2, cant even use mods on valve servers
Pretty sure he's talking about a workshop kinda' deal where you upload a skin and it has a chance of being added to the game. I will be very surprised to see any even reasonably intensive mod support for this game.
Yeah, I don't think they're gonna allow client side modding, more like content they can officially add to the game
Oh Jesus, just kill me now. I thought Blizzard was all about "Commit to quality"!
The community can't create quality content?
The community can't create quality content?
As long as we don't get something like the Robotic Boogaloo for Overwatch it'll be fine.
As long as we don't get something like the Robotic Boogaloo for Overwatch it'll be fine.
Robot Boogaloo would actually make sense in Overwatch's very sci-fi setting, though. Things will be fine as long as they don't let people customize their colors. We already have some semi-goofy skins in Overwatch.
The community can't create quality content?
the community might create quality content, but every other game i can think of with massive amounts of community content has an absolutely trashed overall aesthetic. (cs:go, tf2, so on). i'd rather blizzard is very stringent on what they allow, or they only allow client side modding (the best possible situation is client-side modding)
The community can't create quality content?
It's a mixed bag, TF2 has deep modding support, which has brought great things like custom maps (which nobody plays unless they get added officially by Valve) and HUD customization (which Overwatch fucking needs, I want Rayshud in Overwatch dammit,) but it has also allowed servers to put giant fucking watermarks on their users' screens the entire time they're on the server, and put video ads that scream at you at full volume, and shit like HLStatsX that spams text on my screen every time I do literally anything, or mods that add bots secretly without showing that fact on the server browser to trick people into joining by making them think the server has a lot of players. I like mods, but making sure that people can't do stupid shit with mods that make custom servers unplayable is also important. Even right now in TF2, playing on non-Valve servers is pretty much impossible because it takes 20+ minutes to find one in the serverlist that doesn't have bots padding playercounts, horrible mods, and so on. I'll let Star_ demonstrate. Finding a non-Valve server to join in TF2 basically consists of ignoring the server browser, going to the TF2 subreddit and begging for IPs to good servers.

I hope they really heavily moderate what community content gets in. I despise most of the aesthetic-butchering crap that got shoved into TF2. This can be great news or terrible news depending on Blizzard's standards.

TF2 was a 60s Spy movie, there's a ton of anachronic stuff now that doesn't fit the theme. It was also one presented in the style of 60s posters and paintings, and now there are many colors that don't fit the palette. Overwatch - sci-fi fantasy, comic book heroes. Literally anything goes, cowboys, cyborgs, ninjas, cyborg ninja cowboys... Neon colors, dark colors, fancy effects. Sky's the limit. Not sure how one would go about ruining it, other than putting in something obviously realistic and not stylized.
The ones for CSGO and Dota 2 are alright though
csgo has some truly ugly skins tbh. tf2 is no better. dota 2 is probably the least bad out of all of them, and even dota 2 has gone overboard. valve needs to chill the hell out [editline]25th February 2016[/editline]
Overwatch artstyle is much harder to ruin since it's so loose.
