those are both from like 2 years ago
the running theory about more map size [sp]is that the game starts in brooklyn[/sp] since the alpha/beta starts at level 4 being helicoptered into manhattan
The map size is roughly the same between the two, it's just that the original one is a lot more spread out and geographically interesting. They really shouldn't have switched to what it is now (though who knows, maybe both are in the game and you unlock brooklyn later?)
maps
The first doesn't show where the boundaries of the map are; from the level of detail it looks like the areas across the bridges aren't accessible. Notice that it marks the bridges as Manhattan, like a boundary to the gameplay area.
The second image looks like a render from a trailer, not an actual piece of gameplay.
So once again, where is the evidence that they've actively cut out areas of the game that we've already seen?
And here we go.

Leave it to FP people to rate boxes.
But you know I'm right...
UBISHAFT + map "dripping" via DLCs, with level progression to explain the new zones.
What you're going to see in the dark zone is just a couple of "(kilo)meters" of randomness, the rest getting available in a "timely" fashion.
As for downgrading, why is majority lenient to the fact that a PC version wasn't planned, but still happened, so the lack of quality should be expected as such?
I assume that someone's gonna pay you a million dollar if you turn out to be right, since you've been shitposting on this thread for a while.
Since I can afford it I personally wouldn't mind the game being a DLC whore anyway :v:

Listen, I probably have a bigger issue with Ubisoft than most, but you need to calm down. From all that we've seen so far, Massive is trying their hardest to not disappoint. Hell, the fact that the devs were actually trusting their games with the recent presentation in Malmö is a nice, fresh breath of air in the AAA gaming industry.
That said, for all I know The Division might be the biggest piece of turd ever developed by man, corrupting the souls of men just by them looking at it. I doubt it, but it's still possible. The difference is, you don't seem to accept any other kind of possibility existing; The Division will be shit and we're all dumbasses, anything else is utterly impossible.
Agents: Check Uplay, your codes should be there under beta access section

So I've had the game pre ordered for a week on from the Xbox store but I can't see the game on my uplay profile even though I've got the XBL acc linked. Any advice?
It isn't showing up for me under Beta Access either, despite me getting emails saying I'd preordered the game etc. (even though I haven't)
Friend preordered for me off steam, wonder when if we just get to preload wednesday.
Any guaranteed way to get into the PC beta without pre-ordering? Not gonna drop $80 on this but i would still like to give it a try

I'm doing a little raffle right now for a division beta key for fp so just rate my post to be entered for the raffle; I'll send out the picture of the key to the winner in a pm (I'll do a number randomizer to pick from whoever rates me) at the same time tomorrow 1/26/16

Drawing tomorrow 8PM EST, number 1 wins
Can anyone give me a good TLDR on the changes from when the game was first revealed, and what we are getting now? for example I know there is no companion app, and the map is smaller?
amazon trick m8
Call me dumb, but elaborate please.
you preorder on amazon then cancel the order after they send you the beta code
Fun fact though, the physical copy of the game is $47.99 with amazon prime.

The standard edition is still unavailable on amazon uk. Would I get the code if I get the gold version?
I find it funny that alot of people are complaining on the graphical downgrade, like, from a business standpoint it's perfectly logical to do so because otherwise the PC playerbase would've been way too small since not everyone can afford a super-rig.
Regardless, the game still looks good and I'm so pre-ordering this on friday.
It requires like a GTX 560 minimum. 970 recommended. It seems like it scales BIG TIME
I don't have high expectations for the game but am looking forward to the beta :^)

Steam pre-load for the beta is up now.
Steam pre-load for the beta is up now.
Yet, not on uplay
And people who got it through GMG get nothing.
uplay preload is up now.
28gb, pretty big for a beta
28gb, pretty big for a beta
Beta seems to have the full maps so that's pretty much the full game.
Still no pre-load for me, not even been granted access to it yet. Grr
It'll be fun to get access on the 29th, as it's happening, and be forced to slowly download 28GB over the course of the 30th, and have a whole 7 hours to try it on the day it shuts down on the 31st
Somehow I managed to preload the client even though I haven't received any keys :v: I'm starting to panic now.
