everyone has this belief that these sellers are people that raid the back of semi trucks and steal hundreds of boxed games and sell the cd keys and that's just not how it works
i mean don't get me wrong, there's some illegitimate sellers but most of them are relatively clean. you can also pick and choose who you want to buy from so if anyone is to blame it's the ill-informed consumer
do you really think ubisoft gives them keys with the express intention of selling them on? because anything else is shady

Conclusion:
HumbleBundle is also shady?!
This conversation is futile:
The beta key source doesn't matter, I blame Ubisoft for actually whoring the beta keys in the first place, via guaranteed preorder, marketing & pr, etc.
It should be free, an opportunity to test the server infrastructure, check for balancing issues, instead it's a paid feedback.
But, ignoring all that, I bought the beta for testing purposes, to see if my hardware can handle it, cuz I'm interested in playing it in the future, if it's good.
I'm fine with paying for a demo honestly. You're still getting some form of entertainment that people put down work to make. Sure in a perfect world the price you paid for the demo could be deducted from the full price of the game but life isn't that easy. At least not yet.
I do not support G2A or similar services however (whom are inherently "shady"), there is a reason their prices are cheaper and developers still need to get paid for the work they did even if the higher-ups at a company unfortunately take a much larger sum than they otherwise deserve.
Granted the whole business of these companys selling beta keys isn't really a major issue, not buying them isn't going to stop botting.

Well would you like to have 77 cents deducted? I mean, is it really worth it?
Also, most key sellers sites nowadays are pretty... Clean. Look at kinguin for example, they even had their own CS:GO team and got promoted by loads of pros. They mostly cut costs by not storing their games in warehouses, no delivery costs and also making good deals.
Just use the Amazon pre-order trick. It's really easy and the keys sometimes aren't platform specific
Considering how shit the siege servers and online system was, i'm thinking this is going to have no end of online issues.

What's the significance of this? Also how big is the beta client?

Hmm; are people able to get the beta working on PC?

doesn't it have like 15 tickrate? seems pretty awful for a first person shooter

I remember hearing that they upped it, but the big issue with the siege was connectivity. For the first few days it seemed like getting connected and staying connected was an absolute crapshoot, especially on the console versions.

Some new live action mini-series videos released. Not sure if they're supposed to go in a specific order;

I think the Escape one is kinda the last one, since all the other ones show origins of one of the agents in that one.
Bad news everyone
Ubi has confirmed that The Division has lost its trading feature that would have seen players able to sell items between one another in-game.
Associate creative director Julian Gerighty told GR the feature wouldn't be in the game at launch, citing the "priority of different features" as the reason behind its removal. "It’s the reality of production. Some features make it, some features don’t," he explains.
However, while the ability to trade guns with whoever you don't shoot on sight won't be a 'day one' thing, it's not dead completely. "It’s something that obviously some people are very passionate about," says Julian, adding, "it’ll maybe make an appearance in the future.

I wasn't planning on ever doing any trading in this ever anyway.
I wasn't planning on ever doing any trading in this ever anyway.
I was hoping to send some items to my friends who are going to start playing the game later on so this is pretty sad to see.
Yeah I don't know the trading didn't seem like a loss to me
I hope there's still at least a shared storage for your 4 characters

Yeah, not to mention that they didn't have any good reason to leave it out. "Some stuff gets in and some doesn't". Was the trading previously in the alpha/beta or was it just a thing they promised along the way? Smells like Ubi just wants to stick some microtransactions in the game and the trading would create a player business that would lower their income. Sounds fishy.
Just saying as trading is a feature that a lot of people would like to have, myself included.

The microtransactions are only aesthetic items, it wouldn't have any effect either way.
tbh after seeing diablo and other arpgs doing trading and making a shitty meta-economy i'm cool with a lack of trading
Well, they could easily restrict the trading to a certain degree.
Of course the lack of trading isn't key factor for me, I just have to wait and see how the rest of the game works out in the end.

He also talks bout the microtransactions.
