[QUOTE=WarRocker32;39476355]RA3 is pretty fun.[/QUOTE]
Didn't really care for it.
Streamlined resource gathering, terrible balancing, and it really went way too over the top with the absurdity.
Nevermind that the campaigns sucked ass and were pretty much carbon copies of eachother.
It had nice graphics though.
I finally managed to get Generals and ZH with Gentool working without a disc!

The Premier Agrees.
People may disagree and say RA3 was little more than a mod of C&C3, but C&C 3 was also good and it improved upon some of the tidbits that were annoying in C&C3.
Then again RA3 was one of my first C&C games (I feel ashamed) but I still believe after playing some of the C&Cs it can stand up as a worthy sequel.
The main problem I had with RA3 was all the supermodels they shoehorned into it, yeah hot women are cool and red alert has always been a bit goofy after 2. But they just felt awkward and out of place. Also why replace ore fields with just a single ore pile. Harvester management is cool.

I agree with both statements, the thing that attracts people to a game shouldn't be the fact that it has some models who've never touched a video game in their life playing characters, it should be the game itself. They literally advertised the cast so much that the time spent could have been spent on the game or something more productive.
I enjoyed RA3 a lot.
Also RA3 is a lot more fun to watch than older C&Cs.
I wish they had good spectator UI like in SC2.
Well this image was posted on C&C Facebook.

Finally they showed us some G.L.A.
What's more likely, Generals 2 being EA realizing how to not be entirely bullfucks, or peace in the Middle East?
I'm in the Beta for it, better not be shit.
This game is either the final nail in the coffin for the future of C&C, or the crowbar that pry's the coffin open.

So i finally bought RA3, so far i'm enjoying it.
So, after playing some more RA3 i only have one complaint: The actors.
Sure, i like the humor in the game but most of the cutscene actors are horrible. Then there's this boob-waving all the time that kills the story, sure, i like hot women but the women in RA3 don't know shit about acting realisticly (Hint: Zhana). I liked the actors in C&C3 but these just kill the story.
Am i the only one who think this?
Even though these complaints i like the campaign, wouldn't be too shabby to play co-op with someone in the future.
Other comments: I like the gameplay, it's pretty solid. I've learned to love the Soviets but when i tried the japs i had a really fun game too.
Is there anyone else here besides Xieneus who got RA3 on STEAM?

I have, I haven't played it for a long time, probably about a year/few months
I'll hit you up on STEAM so that we can get a game running.
Does anyone know how to install maps for Red Alert 3?
[QUOTE=Viper123_SWE;39598232]Does anyone know how to install maps for Red Alert 3?[/QUOTE]
Put maps here: C:\Users\[USER_NAME]\AppData\Roaming\Red Alert 3\Maps\
[editline]15th February 2013[/editline]
It's almost exactly the same for C&C3 so I'm surprised you do not know that.
Hehe, i've never installed custom content for any of the C&C games before with the exception of the TE mod for C&C3:TW.
I made a maps folder in the RA3 folder so hopefully this'll work now. Thanks for the quick response.
I tried playing C&C3 KW online, but in most cases we can't connect to each other and when we can, then I'll get crushed by much better players. :(
French gaming magazine Canard PC has cover story about the new C&C

Three factions:
Asian-Pacific Alliance (APA)
Global Liberation Army (GLA)
European Union (EU)
[editline]16th February 2013[/editline]
They are trying to avoid pay to win
They have unlockable generals who you get either by paying or levelling
Cosmetic stuff
Progression system
Even now there is hope for Generals
I don't like the cartoony look very much.
[QUOTE=d00msdaydan;39609108]Even now there is hope for Generals[/QUOTE]
Stop trying to obtain hope, they killed it before it even came out. It's gonna have EA "free2pay" elements, and that's all you really need to know.
[editline]16th February 2013[/editline]
They can claim all they want to, I know them well enough to fuck everything up
I'm probably just delusional because I loved Generals so much and can't accept the sequel being shit
There is one problem with many current C&C games:
They are attempting to make it graphically pleasing but they go overboard with some things like saturation and everithing looks bright as hell
Also RA3 has the best mods (Paradox)
So no America Faction? Interesting.
