I decided to reinstall the Shockwave mod for Zero Hour for fun. I think I may have gone overboard with it.
If it were to go any faster than 30 FPS, the game speed itself would speed up. Weird engine thing.
Red Alert 2 is pretty fast pace. Starcraft 2 has no problem with being at fast pace, no reason why Red Alert 3 would have problems.

The FPS will be 60, but the speed will jump from extremely slow, to really fast, to faster, to slower, etc. It has nothing to do with "pace".

The first tanks are like ants with armour-piercing shells, mid-game they drive like grandmothers and when the dust clears they go back to autobahn speeds.

I'd let off nukes all over the map for fun back in the day. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/3Rp5N5O.jpg[/thumb]
What happens when you click the big 'register for beta' button? It says it'll contact me soon. Do you get an email or what? If I'm not in the beta I'll be depressed.

Assuming you signed up for it that is.
In reading some of the news of CnC I'm a lot more optimistic for the game than I was originally. I just really want them to get it right erhfsfsfss
Here's a question, if C&C 4's gameplay was in a new universe would you like it more? Say the game was based in a interstellar universe with two factions warring over resources on huge asteroids, planets, or something. Sure, C&C 4's gameplay isn't indicative of a regular C&C game but a new universe would at least give a better excuse for different gameplay. I have to say, the game does have some interesting mechanics going on and can be intense at times. I think having an RTS based around 5v5 KotH-like gameplay could work well in it's own setting. Though I would like to see the popcap increased or unit cost decreased.

Okay. I like C&C. The end.

I bought the C&C collection off Origin, not sure what to play first
I bought the C&C collection off Origin, not sure what to play first
Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge.
I bought the C&C collection off Origin, not sure what to play first
If you like tough, hard and old school, tiberian dawn and red alert 1 If you like more fun, smooth but still hard and funny, red alert 2 and beyond If you like casual stereotyping and a fun experience involving generals, well, generals. C&C 3 if you want to see a near successful modern take on C&C Anything beyond that will make you want to cut your dick off and serve it up with some sushi.
I've played them all before except for C&C4 and Renegade. I was just making a general comment because there are so many of them in the pack.

C&C 3 would have been amazing but I don't like the scrin at all
C&C 3 would have been amazing but I don't like the scrin at all
Can't be because they're only very slightly OP would it?
Can't be because they're only very slightly OP would it?
Yeah, you couldn't really say that forcefields, flying aircraft carriers, flying anti-infantry automatic artillery, alien tripods, infinite ammo fighters and swarms of flying knives are a game-breaker.
I hope one day for a sequel to Renegade. I just loved that game. I replay it at least once a year.
Renegade had such a fun campaign.
So, I played Red Alert 3 for the first time. I have very mixed feelings towards it. The game itself has some really cool concepts and ideas but they I have a hard time liking the game so far. It's not necessarily a bad game but the game has some design choices that I dislike. I played some missions for the three campaigns and it felt kind of flat, the game feels like it tries really hard to get this Red Alert vibe for it, but it's a tad to much. The thing is that this game tries to be epic and all badass, but the battles and combat itself is rather boring and looks absolutely atrocious. The game has a very unique style but I don't think that it fits to the game. Some units are just to overspaced and ridiculous, they look silly. Although there are some really cool units, it's mostly hit or miss. But the units feel to futuristic. I will keep on playing but I have not enjoyed it so far.
I wanted to make sure he was dead for sure.
That's a really good mission.
I've found an old map of mine i've created awhile ago. It was my first skirmish map for 2 players. It's for Generals zero hour. If anyone is actually interested playing it, here it is: http://filesmelt.com/dl/Civil_War_SN_V2.zip The map has lots of money but has a neutral base with units that are pretty powerful...but they can easily be destroyed.... I loved the map from RA1 "The Hills have Eyes 8 players" with crazy civils with their nukes and other crazy things, and this map is actually a bit the same, the only things they don't shoot nukes. Tge civillians just protect their middle base on the map, Good luck playing with it if you want to give it a try.
I just went to install Red Alert 3 but apparently there is a limit to how many times it can be installed? How can I fix this?
