When supcom and FA bit the multiplayer dust, you could activate the retail codes on steam, I did.
EA doesn't have as much "community" feedback as GPG back then though :v:

I designed a new map that quickly infests the city of Buena's Aires into a Red Zone.

Started playign CnC4 since I have the CnC Ultimate Collection, and I can understand why it is hated so much.
I'm 6 missions in to GDI, every mission so far has been short and has either been a protect the target or destroy the target with side targets mission, which is fine, older CnC games had these, except in all of these missions, you are not allowed to build out a monstrous base. You are extremely limited in the number of units and buildings. Alongside all of the handholding this game does to you, this was a big let down. Some of my favorite memories of RA2 were building giant bases for no reason in a mission and decimating the enemy ai.
The only thing good about C&C 4 is the soundtrack.
No, even the soundtrack was mediocre.
Actually, the soundtracks for all of the new C&Cs have been crap save for Red Alert 3(surprisingly, Frank Klepacki let himself be attached to this turd).

Im a little late with this, but while you cannot activate the serial on Steam, you can activate it on Origin for a digital copy, and the digital copy comes with Kane's Wrath.
I did the same with my copy before I bought the ultimate collection. You would, however, have to contact Origin support (I did live chat), and have them add it.
I know it doesn't help you in your current situation, but if you were wanting to have a digital copy of it, this would be the only way without buying it again.
For the people that still plays OpenRA (Redalert), never.... but NEVER play this game online! I am so dissapointed with this game. It "lags", "slow gamespeed", "game freezes", "you can't control the gamespeed" etc. If you want to play this game then you'll have to play the orginal RA1 with the CPU. Much better than OpenRA. You can't even play normally online with some few players! Looks like ill just stick to RA1.
I'm gonna play C&C 4 over again just to explore how much EA fucked up.
I'll be back with a full review when I'm done.

That's pretty much Command in Conquer in general.

Thats why you never rush with tanks. You mix things up with things like APC's to take care of the infantry.

I dont know, Ra2 my prism tanks made minx meat of any infantry I met...same for the battle fortress(though it does have an anti-infantry weapon..) Mammoth took care of them easily in CnC3 as well. so its not really for "general"

Was playing Kane's Wrath again, and on the second mission, I decided to mass any army and take over the GDI base. I destroyed all their defences and took over every single building, and then did the same to the area where the objective is. There was literally no GDI left on the entire map, and I had set up MCVs throughout so the map was almost a giant blob of red. Then I decided to complete the mission and Kane pops up on the little screen and says "Retreat my son. Soon this area will be overrun with GDI and we will not be able to defend it"
We're playing Tiberium Essence if anyone wants to tag along.
