So i tried the RA3 PC demo (The Xbox one is horrible.) and it was quite fun, really liked the game mechanics, units nad the graphics.

I was considering getting the ultimate collection but there's an alarmingly large amount of customer reviews saying that it's rubbish; that RA2 doesn't work at all and the games pre-C&C4 won't work on 64bit Windows 7. Is this true or can I finally play some of my favourite RTS games again?

I've got The First Decade collection, it still works great for me though I've only tried Tiberian Sun, RA2 and Renegade on Win 7 64 bit. I don't see why a newer pack wouldn't work as well unless EA somehow fucked something up.

The review was sort of right. Both RA2 and Yuri's will run, but once you get into the gameplay, it runs incredibly slow. There is, however, a fix for that. You add VideoBackBuffer=no under the [Video] section in the ini and it runs perfectly.

Also, C&C 4 worked perfect for me on Win7 Ultimate X64 and continued to work just fine when I upgraded to Win8 Pro x64.
I honestly believe the Ultimate Collection was a great purchase. I picked it up for $24 and easily would have paid full price for it.
So Xieneus finally convinced me to download Tiberium Essence: I have no regrets.
I had a great time playing. X showed me some of the really cool stuff included with the TE mod. (Even if i was banned and nuked.)

During the first game we we're supposed to hunt for mutants and build a super-fort. Mutants died and it all turned into a RP-FFA game.
Second one was also a bit RP-ish although we had some really epic fights.
You guys should really get C&C3 on STEAM + the TE mod.
As I swarmed Xieneus' base, Act on Instinct played.
