Anyone? After I tried all the ways I could find, and none of them worked. I decided to install them through Origin. But is there any way to fix them on Steam?
I don't know of one and reinstalling them or Origin was the best fix. Nothing wrong with the game after that.

No it tells me what house wants renovations and what they want (expample: Two rugs, expensive TV, and a lamp). I just find it easier to put whatever they want in a basement and make it look fancy.

I've installed ErrorTrap and Overwatch, and they're definitely installed properly as the game recognises them and everything, but my save file keeps lagging/pausing every 10 seconds or so. Is there something I'm supposed to do to get this?

Export a copy of household and house if wanted to the sim library thing.
is there a way to add or remove the sims that are stored for story progression? i mean the game has to get these sims from somewhere, right? i wanna create my own sims to populate my towns.
Pretty sure the game randomly generates the overwhelming majority of them.
There is no other explanation to the pure fashion horror...

Even though The Sims 3 is much better from a gameplay standpoint, graphically, it doesn't look nearly as good as the Sims 2.
The Sims 2 had a way better style and looked a whole lot nicer than the Sims 3, in my opinion, and it's easier to run on your computer, too.

the create-a-style feature makes sims 3 way better imo.

Shift+Ctrl+C and type "resetsim *" without the quotes
This fixes my game every time it starts doing that hang where the game freezes, but some parts of the game aren't frozen, so it isn't frozen, it just all pauses briefly

resetsim * shouldn't fix anything that overwatch doesn't already fix.

It does for me. Even with Overwatch and Errortrap I get that annoying as fuck Hang where your sim pauses, you can't do anything, but you can still scroll the view, but the game itself is just frozen for a couple seconds. Resetsim * fixes it for me for the entire rest of my game session. It rarely happens, though

Yeah, that's why I prefer the look of the Sims 2. It looked cartoony and stylish, but the Sims 3 looks like play-doh.

Download and install through Origin. Add games to Steam list as a Non-Steam game. Load through Steam.

once you have downloaded through origin you never have to open the program again, you can launch the sims 3 through steam if you want, I do.

I get it, but I just don't want to buy my Sims 3 games on steam (Since Origin won't let me buy anything) then activate it on Origin just to play it on steam.
I just want to use my Steam Version.

I keep getting "an unexpected error has occurred" when I try to download Sims 3 Ambitions via Origin. And when I resume the download, my download progress goes down. It was at 58, then it was at 15.

I prefer the design of the Sims 2 Sims than the Sims 3 Sims but thats about it IMO.
