so i was planning to see what would happen if i stopped paying the bills and i got to the point where i have no electricity and water but for some reason when i go to other lots they also have no electricity or water. anyone else experience this?
Collective punishment for not paying the bills.
Got bored and tried to make a house similar to that shitty prebuilt in the Sims 3 [t]http://i.imgur.com/p79mXtF.jpg[/t]
So i made this at the Create-A-Sim Demo "He grabs me with his powerfull ogre hands - Ellis"
Any reason why my sim's best friend won't show up on party invites? I want to invite her to a wedding, but her portrait will not show up during the invites.
I had that problem too, couldn't find a fix for it. Possible bug?
Finished one of my Sims first aspirations. Didn't realize you got a little perk at the end of it. That's cool.
So, I don't normally come into this thread, but I've seen that The Sims 3 was a good game... And I'm hearing that the Sims 4 has the complexity of a low-end mobile game. True? False? GG, EA.
They've over-exaggerating. Game's good, just keep in mind it's a Sims base game. A lot of people forget what that means. Or more accurately what it's meant for the entire history of the series. People act like it's a new thing and shit on this game for being lacking but praise Sims 2 base which I'd argue was much weaker. There's also a list going around of features that aren't in the game, but only a small handful are actually worth a damn. The rest are inconsequential yet people latch onto them like they're deal-breakers. To get to the point, it's a good jumping off point and expansions will only make it better. If it's not your thing, I'd wait for them to come out and get a bundle when it comes available.
You know, for a game that's out-out, like fully release, I'm hearing absolutely nothing about it, I mean there was that review Snafu, but outside of here, no one is even remotely covering it.
So that's cool. Was cleaning up my saves, for some reason I had like 20 saves for one house, got rid of everything but the recent auto-save and it deleted the family I was playing but the neighborhood is intact. No idea how that is suppose to work.

So what's the general consensus? [editline]2nd September 2014[/editline] Oh, and will it possibly run on my laptop which is 2.6 ghz, 8gb of ram, intel hd graphics....?
Just wondering, anyone know if there will ever be a 64 bit version of The Sims 4? It's so choked on my PC, and my PC plays any game like a dream. But being I'm running a 32 bit version of The Sims 4, it lags in areas.
thats rad as fuck
Thanks! I'm not extremely happy with how the exterior turned out but it's passable. I may do some editing or make a new house and apply what I've learned. How do I upload it so that others can use it? I can't seem to figure out the Gallery stuff

Idk if that worked but it we shall see
Oh jeez, you can't lock doors anymore. That kind of bums me out since I liked to lock bedroom doors and sort of assign rooms to sims that way.
Some dickweed NPC came up and started talking shit and I beat him up. 10/10 game worth the $40

Wow, the emotions system is pretty great. My character is embarrassed because someone heckled him at work and now he's doing everything sort of half-assed. It's great and adds a ton of, well, emotion to Sims that it was lacking.

I miss Sculpting already.

It's probably one of my favorite new features, but before I got the game I didn't care for it at all.

Thus, little press interest.
I just sunk 14 hours straight into it. I keep making sims and getting them to talk to my other sims, I love that about it. Its lacking, yeah, but I still keep finding things to do and things I haven't even done yet. DLC/Expacs/Mods can only make this go uphill from here, honestly. There's so much that can possibly be done. Well worth it in my opinion.

um also because of there were no review copies
I very strongly believe that once this gets expansions and the mod community gets into gear this game will be far, far, faaar better than the sims 3.
I have a feeling EA will be going down the "Massive DLC" for the next few months before an expac. Which kinda blows. I just want Sims 4 SEASONS. I miss my rain and storms.
I'll be extremely disappointed if they do that. Wouldn't surprise me though.
Honestly, after playing for a while, I have to say the Sims 3 is a better game in pretty much better in all aspects, except three. Social interactions, Create a Sim, and Build Mode. That is it, if you LOVE those features and dont mind the complete removal of things like Open Worlds, in depth careers, Sims Style and Childhood, then go ahead. If not, the Sims 3 is still out there, and its a (MUCH) better game with all the expansion packs. [editline]3rd September 2014[/editline] For real though, I just... cannot believe they removed open worlds, that was my favourite part about the Sims 3... why would you do that? If anything they shouldve EXPANDED upon that, had careers become something you could actively participate in, I just... I simply cannot understand it.
