Then my other friend got me Ambitions for 20 dollars, I can use it but I'll explain the problem in a minute. I wasted 80 bucks on The Sims 3. I have to use Origin to play my Sims 3 games I got on steam now, I'll explain the Ambitions problem now. Ambitions won't download on Origin, so I can either use Origin and just have Seasons, or use Steam and just have Ambitions. And what is the point if I do get Ambitions downloaded? I have to buy the Expansions Packs on steam since Origin won't let me buy any games. I never disliked EA, I thought they were awesome. But I spent HOURS trying to talk to someone on the support page on their forum. No one was there, it went from "Wait 10-15 minutes" to "Wait 25-30 minutes" and when it got to 5 Minutes and lower, it went back to 30 Minutes. I tried to get Seasons to work on steam, and Ambitions to download on Origin. Nothing worked, and when I resume the download, it goes to 65-70, stops downloading after an error comes up, and suddenly it goes down to 40-50 when I resume it. I got my Steam account hacked years ago, and when I sent a Support Email to Steam, it took them a Week to reply back and get my account back to me. I recently sent Steam support an email, and that can take weeks, heck it might not even get a reply, none of my other ones did besides my hacked account Ugh, I just want to play Sims 3 Seasons.

Also check the expansion pack file paths, there is a possibility they may not be in the correct Steam folder. I have the collectors edition on Origin, there's no difference (All the collectors stuff comes in the box, including the cheap-ass plum bob)

Oh balls I've been meaning to get the base game since I happened on the thread but that was when I was dead broke. 15 days of eating my roommate's leftovers and not going out on weekends... I just got paid and it looks like amazon readjusted their prices back to the pre-steam sale ones. Can't afford it. :suicide:

Look through some CD key sites. I don't know the sale price on Amazon or Steam but the CD key store prices are pretty cheap.

This game pisses me off. "Hey here is the sims 3, but we are going make you pay OUT THE ASS for content which we all know you love into separate games and expansions and make you pay extortionate amounts for, so you can have these features and content, but don't be fooled, it has a draw back, it will make your game run like absolute ass and freeze completely with no way to fix it." I wouldn't mind a few hiccups, but when my Rig can run any game you throw at it maxed out with absolute ease, I expect my rig to run fucking sims adequately. Without waiting 50 million years for loading times only for it to freeze entirely by it's own free will when it deems so. None of the NRASS mods fix this problem, and deleting ALL custom content or even starting new towns solves this. I managed to get it working. This is how, since I remember one person having the same problem. Download this. [url]http://205.196.121.213/uik7cy2bs6tg/he73zinrna2s2a8/Sims+Pack+Steam+Reg+Files.zip[/url] It is 64 Bit but it is easy to get it working on 32 Bits. If you use 32 Bit, then continue reading. 1. Download from that Link. 2. Extract the Expansion Pack(s) from the Rar, only the ones that don't work. 3. Run them. (Now if you are using 64 Bit, you should be fine, but if you are using 32 Bit like me, continue reading). 4. Go into Regedit. 5. Go all the way down till you see Wow6432node. 6. Expand that and Sims(steam), you should see an Expansion Pack there. For me it is Seasons so I will use that. 7. Go all the way up till you see sims(steam), expand that, you will see Sims 3, and any expansion packs you own. (Note: Do not close Wow6432node). 8. Make a key folder and name it to the Expansion Pack you are having Trouble with. (EX: The Sims 3 Seasons) 9. Now Make 7 String Values and and Name them the way they are in this picture. 10. Go to Wow6432node and copy the data and place them in the ones we made. 11. Remove any double \\ and (x86) since (x86) is 64 bit, and the double \\ aren't suppose to be there. 12. make Three DWORD in the folder we made the string values in. 13. Copy the Values from the one in Wow6432node. They all should be Hex. 14. You can close those two off. Now go to Eletronic Arts, and then expand that and you'll see sims(steam), make another key and name it The Sims 3 Seasons. Leave it the way it is. 15. Make another Key inside that, and name it ergc. 16. Go to steam, right click on the Sims 3 and show CD keys. Copy the Expansion Packs key. And modify the (default) and place the key. 17. Close Regedit and shut down Steam. 18. Go to Steamapps/<Your Account>/ 19. Make a folder there called sims_3_ep and the number of the Expansion pack. To find out go to Wikipedia and count down the number of Expansions they have till you get to yours. Seasons is 8. Ambitions is 2. 20. Go back to Common and open the sims 3 folder and you'll see some numbered vdf at the bottom. 21. Look here and find the Expansion Pack .VDF. For Sweet Treats, this is "223591_install.vdf" - SP6 - folder: sims_3_sp6 For Diesel Stuff, this is "223592_install.vdf" - SP7 - folder: sims_3_sp7 For Supernatural, this is "223593_install.vdf" - EP7 - folder: sims_3_ep7 For Seasons, this is "223594_install.vdf" - EP8 - folder: sims_3_ep8 22. Copy the .VDF and go back to <your account name> and place it into the folder we made. 23. Open steam, hit Sims 3 and launch it. It should be lit at the bottom.

I like how when I invite my first guest over my house my Sims decides to just walk right to the door, smile for about a second or two, go back into the bedroom and watch TV, with the biggest fucking grin on his face , leaving my first guest at the door for 6 hours, And since I didn't take the time to select the correct option, I basically just to tell her to fuck off, she gets into the taxi and leaves, and now whenever I talk to her she just seems to care less about anything I say :v:

What is up with the firemen in Sims 3? My house was set a blaze forgotten fireplace not being put out. The firemen were quickly dispatched and sent to my house. When one firewoman arrived I had already sent my underling to combat some of the flames with a fire extinguisher. My slave managed to quell the flames just a slim second before the fire woman came running in. She stood looking at were the fire was originally ablaze and... Just stood there. I waited for some kind of notification that I should be more careful and shit, but it didn't appear. Oh well I expected her to leave with the classic reasoning that "This Sim has to be somewhere else at this time", but it looks like this sim had nowhere to be but in my house looking at the ashes of a fire which was more than a day old. She stood there weeping about how hungry she was, or how much she needed to take a piss. She occasionally let some urin out on the floor which I had my slave clean up. After 4 days of standing there she eventually just disappeared in thin air, never to be seen again.
