Should I feel guilty for kinda wanting this game? Loved The Sims when I was young but was never really old enough to play it 'properly'. Got the Sims 2 through origin for free and it was fun. Sims 4 looks good...
No you should not feel guilty the only reason people are bitching here is beceuse they played to much of sims 3 and think they had a downgrade while they're only missing stuff that is not important at all just crying for nothing. I played shit out sims 2, And im loving sims 4 its a great base game on its own and it will only improve within the future. I dont think missing open world of sims 3 is bad I much prefer the closed lots like this makes me more focused on the main stuff and not the million or random uninmportant shit that is going around.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/LLTLZTj.jpg[/t] Day 3, my house is now censored.

I made a childish sim, walked away from my PC, came back, and well [t]http://i.imgur.com/KnVCjew.jpg[/t] Hes watching a children's show
http://www.shacknews.com/article/86145/ea-combats-sims-4-piracy-with-unique-bug
If you’ve played The Sims in the past, then you should be familiar with the pixelated block that protects their modesty when they’re doing more intimate things like taking a bath or using the restroom facilities. Once your Sim is done doing their business, the pixelated block will disappear and you’ll be able to proceed through the game. Well--that is, unless you’ve pirated your copy of The Sims 4. Player Attack reports that in pirated versions of The Sims 4, the pixelated block comes up as it normally does during intimate moments. But when that moment is complete, the block won’t go away. Instead, it expands to the rest of the screen until the entire game is completely blurry.
hey [editline]5th September 2014[/editline] guess who pirated the game [editline]5th September 2014[/editline]
It wont, its only on origin
man, that really blows sims 4 just for building homes would have been nice
So, anyone figured out how to get the Steam overlay working? Also, is there a way to kill the tutorials without using the Origin shortcut?
Add a Origin short-cut to steam and all games you launch via origin will have the steam overlay
You can rename a single file in the game's directory and that non disappearing blur will stop happening. It's even posted on the official forums because a few legit players are getting it, too
I think the white loading screen should be replaced with a "buffering circle", so it still loads everything but the flow isn't broken because you can still see the game.
So do neighborhood sims actually "progress" somehow, or do they just get old and eventually die?
They actually build up relationships, become friends and lovers. I don't think they ever get married or have kids, though. I'm unsure about their career progress, but I think they can develop skills a tiny little bit on their own.
The seperate relationship bars for friendship and romance is a great idea.
All right thanks. I'm kind of bummed because I was getting minor traces of hype about Sims 4 but hey, guess I can live without a single game.
origin has done sales in the past too
I think writing songs might be bugged. I wanted to cancel my sim's song writing but he just kept working on that song till he passed out.
My shitty sims didn't want to make a baby so I had to buy one his name is taco
You can use a hamburger as a birthday cake best sims ever
So, anyone figured out how to get the Steam overlay working? Also, is there a way to kill the tutorials without using the Origin shortcut?
Close origin then start the game via your steam shortcut.

And of course my Sim got fired because TWO random old people died in the lot and you cannot leave the lot while someone is dying. This game...
You can use a hamburger as a birthday cake best sims ever
can I use a baby as a cake?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/1ba3cRm.jpg[/t] Has anyone else tried finding the secret lots? They seem kinda cool I guess. The easiest is the one in the starter neighbourhood of Willow Creek.
Not a secret lot but I did find this on my Sims Phone:
Sorry about the bad quality, i didn't expect to be recording a video with the ingame thing but yah my guy decided to glitch with the pizza box, literally a few minutes before this he was in bed with it on his face
seriously i just went to the museum and i saw 3 guys and 3 girls in one bathroom talking. [editline]4th September 2014[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/lQl6Rs8.png[/t]
Little late, but it reminded me of this:
As someone that has not followed The Sims 4 in any way shape or form but is a little interested now, how is it? Apologies if this has been asked before, I'm just curious how you would describe this game to someone that has no preconceptions of it. [editline]5th September 2014[/editline] I've played all their other games, just have no idea how 4 shapes up in comparison.

You'd think that by the 4th game they'd have nipped it in the bud. It's not the blunder of the century like SimCity was and everyone was fearing it would be.
Man its really nice to see how much smarter the sims are when it comes to interacting with one another. One sims can sit ona bed and eat while chatting with the sim whos playing a game on their pc. It looks so pleasing and lifelike. Also the overall facial/body animations are great, it doesnt feel boring or tedious now to actually watch your sim interact with others or do stuff.

Like one sim will sit on the computer, another on the piano, and another at the kitchen table and it's LITERALLY the most awkward way to converse I've ever seen. Other than that the multitasking system is a wonderful addition.
I think the white loading screen should be replaced with a "buffering circle", so it still loads everything but the flow isn't broken because you can still see the game.
that, or an animation of your sim walking through the loading screen, that could be neat
Well I bought the game from CJS Cd keys, the anti fraud system decided I was a threat. After dealing with that bullshit, I am now waiting for verification from them.
Making a ugly genetics series. Make an ugly sim, have the ugly genes gone within 10 generations of children. thought id record it :D
