http://puu.sh/bFTho/f608859dd7.jpg No, fuck you roof. Also, why are there no curved roofs to go with curved fences?
Pretty sure I saw someone with a curved floor and an overlapping tile as well. Does the game even recognize triangle floor tiles like TS2 and TS3 (not sure about TS1)?
Flat roofs seem to be really finicky in this game.
Well... this is a thing.
That's automatically planted if someone knocks over your trashcan outside.
The only reason I got this trash plant is because it came from leftover scrap from repairing the computer that the plant is beside of.

There was even a combination of buttons that let you place quarter tiles, but I can not remember what you press. Anyone? It's ctrl + F
Well, I finally got the game. $60 feels like a lot, but it's worth it, right?
Well, I finally got the game. $60 feels like a lot, but it's worth it, right?
Isn't that the kind of thing you want to find out... you know... before buying it?
I haven't played in a non-player made world since Seasons came out. EA worlds like Bridgeport and Isla Paradiso give me a ton of performance issues, while the other worlds are also just too tiny. Player made worlds like Alpine County and St. Claire are massive and my game handles them extremely well considering all the custom content I have installed with the graphics at max.
Thanks, I'm getting those worlds now. It would be nice for a less laggy game. EDIT: Is there a specific program for adding mods/maps, or is it just drag and drop?
Isn't that the kind of thing you want to find out... you know... before buying it?
I've pretty much decided. It looks like loads of fun and I don't think I'll get bored of it for a long time. I'm just a little worried about spending too much money.
Is Sims 3 on phones better optimized than on PC? Thinking about getting it so I have something to play when I'm bored.
Turns out the answer to this is yes, if only because it does housing similar to Sims 2 and removes a lot of customization. Eh, for $5 I'll be okay with it. At least I can play it without an internet connection, unlike Sims Freeplay.
Isn't that the kind of thing you want to find out... you know... before buying it?
if he bought it on the origin store he has 24 hours to return it for a refund
I find 60€ for a digital game a bit to excesive. I of course understand people that can afford it. But i haven't even got a good computer, and i have to upgrade it first to do anything.

Founder sim just died of old age, he managed to complete 2 and a half aspirations, before he went he had a gold-star date with his spouse, too. Bittersweet.
I've never actually built a house in the Sims, so I'm finding it kind of hard to figure it all out architecturally. For some reason my first instinct isn't to create individual rooms, but a large box that all of them will fit into. But I don't want my house to look like a box :/ I'll figure it out.

It's a lot harder to stare at an empty lot and try to plan art as you go. It's easier to just think 'ok now I'm going to imagine a fancy design', and bammo, its in your head. then you just have to find the closest way the game lets you make it

Alright, so I've got TS2 installed, but I'm at a loss for what mods I should add. Anybody got any suggestions?

I've been playing TS4 lately, and I just kind of play tetris with the pre-made rooms until it doesn't make me vomit blood on my keyboard.
I just break down walls, add a door, and add onto a premade house. Then my house is usually a lot less cluttered because of all the furniture I had to sell to put wallpaper in.
After about 30 hours of gameplay, I am thoroughly, thoroughly SICK of the little emotion jingles
The audio work in Sims 4 isn't nearly as good as the previous games. Overlapping sounds. Overplayed sounds. Annoying Sounds. And music from the radio speeding up with the game sound has ruined the game a bit for me.
After about 30 hours of gameplay, I am thoroughly, thoroughly SICK of the little emotion jingles
There is a mod that disables the jingles. Haven't tested it out myself, but it could work. http://www.den.simlogical.com/denforum/index.php?PHPSESSID=eg844em1bpg5btucaciqnocfe5&topic=3199
And music from the radio speeding up with the game sound has ruined the game a bit for me.
This was in TS3 too.
Ok. I've built my first house. Nothing special, but I'm proud of myself nonetheless.

Forgot to pain the walls? :v:
