And I'm also glad to see more sensible careers. That said, I miss being a ghost buster... I built a seemigly inocuous barn in my backyard that had a bunch of convincing cardboard cut-out cows obscuring a hidden elevator that led to my secret ghost busting lab where I stored all of the ghosts I caught. Shit was money.
I had (actually still have the save) a lonely, insane genius of a Sim who loved nature and the outdoors, so at the beginning of his Ghostbusting/Inventing career he lived in an open patio with a bathroom attached. In the end he lived in a house that started as a fashionable forest cabin... Then the entire lot ended up littered with machines, shit he collected underground, a vegetable garden and all sorts of junk imaginable. Then he began building Simbots to make his life's wish come true. I stopped playing he household because shit was becoming ridiculous to manage even with a live-in butler (the first of which he seduced and then accidentally broke the heart of)
Why do people seem to be think that anything that's DLC, is stuff that was removed from the original game? No, the stuff they add in wasn't removed from the original game, stop talking shit.
I'm guessing, based on the whole Garry's Mod emphasis around here, that Facepunch is a little more clued in on how game making works than a lot of the non-dev internet, who probably don't really "get" the concept of designers and artists commencing work on new stuff while the programmers are handling the final debugging process.
I decided to do a new game with this Legacy Challenge I keep hearing about. It's going well, my guy is almost level 10 on his career and he's finished his first set of life goals. He's also managed to ruin a marriage and start two families of his own. By that I mean he somehow convinced a married woman to sleep with him and have his babies, then he dumped her for someone else who he's going steady with. Honestly I didn't think it'd be possible to make someone cheat on their spouse, I only did it to see what would happen. Now the poor bastard is raising my twins lol. Also is it normal to see people who don't have homes at all? I evicted my old group because I was originally going to take their lot but then decided not to, now I'm running into one of them at the lounge somewhat frequently.

Expansion Packs are still £29.99, fuck you EA...
Has a fair chunk of content. Isn't compulsory to buy if you don't fancy it. God forbid a company expects you to pay for content. After giving out lots of shit for free. [editline]8th February 2015[/editline] How dare those EA employees who work on Sims want to pay their bills

Uh, then wait for a sale. EA doesn't go from house to house pressing guns to peoples heads to buy it at full price. Chill the fuck out.
Let's face it, though. It's not very exciting to buy an expansion pack that includes pets when in the past you paid exactly the same price for Sims 1/2/3 pets, for example.

Gotta say, while I was annoyed at first about the lack of Government jobs this explains why it was never in the game at first, they intended to give a complete overhaul of the way thy worked.
Yeah I'd prefer new stuff to be excited about. If I was leading, I'd make all past stuff like jobs and pets as game packs and release new ideas as the expansions. Really, I'd prefer it to be in the base game but EA would never do that.
I'm not bothered about them recycling some shit, like Seasons, but it'd be better if they came up with new shit. Also I'll complain about the pricing but I'll still end up buying them anyway, did the same with The Sims 3.
By the way guys, the TSR Workshop for The Sims 4 is released. That means we can finally create our own objects.
Dildos in 5, 4, 3, 2, -
Mac version's out, by the way. If you have the PC version, you already have it.
Trailer for the Doctor Career. I think we can expect trailers for the other careers as well.
Hey, I've heard there's a way you can get the games cheaper by using Hola to access the Origin Mexico site, and you can still play the game in English. I've never tried it because I'm sticking with Sims 3 for now (I can't give up my CAS!) but it seems like it's worth a shot if you don't want to shell out $50-60 or wait for a sale.
Can someone give me a hand? Apparently, a while back Mod The Sims banned a whole range of IPs to get some guy that was fucking around with them, and apparently I was in that same range. So I made an account and was banned before I could do anything. And now I have no means of contacting them to ask to be unbanned because I'm banned... What do?
Also, I may as well provide some content. Someone managed to put some Sims 4 Screenshots into a non-perspective view like Sims 1, and man does it look sharp! [t]http://i.imgur.com/8KVAjIX.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/JOoD5MT.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/V0N08Xk.jpg[/t] [1] - [2] I really wish that was an option in the game.
In part 3 of my conversation with myself: Looks like those pictures got Maxis' attention! They're looking into the possibility of an isometric camera.
I think giving the 15th anniversary of the Sims, it would be a nice edition and a throwback to the first game.
I get bored of Sims 4 really easily atm. And annoyingly Sims 3 is so slow that i can't be doing with it. I get stuck in a loop of *Starts Sims 4* *plays for half hour* *gets bored with minimal things to do* *thinks about Sims 3* *Starts Sims 3* *goes for a mile hike, cooks a fresh turkey dinner, watches 15 different seasons of TV shows* *Sims 3 starts up* *Plays for 5 mins, lags, plays for 5 mins, lags* *gets annoyed with how slow it is* *quits* I have a good computer but Sims 4 has spoiled Sims 3 for me now :( and there really isn't enough content for Sims 4 to play.
I feel like if I touch TS2 again it'll just end with me designing a whole town rather than actually simulating lives.
This is currently on sale on Amazon for $29.99. Has the game ironed out since release and is it any fun? I didn't really like The Sims 3, as I enjoyed The Sims 2 more.
You might like The Sims 4 then, but also remember that it is currently ex pack-less (with one coming out soon). Honestly, I got it on release for a little over $35 and thought it was worth it, $30 is fine.
So made this for when I play CSGO as my avatar.

I haven't played the sims since the first one. Should I get 3 which already has the xpacs out or 4 and wait?
I haven't played the sims since the first one. Should I get 3 which already has the xpacs out or 4 and wait?
If you can get sims 3 and several xpacks with for the same price I'd say that's a good deal. Sims 3 is great, sims 4 is too, but obviously there isn't as much stuff as there is in sims 3 due to the little xpac content in 4. The good and bad things I see in sims 3 and 4 are; Sims 4, each sim is more alive so to speak, more personality. As an example, you can set how your sims walks. One great feature sims 3 has that doesnt appear in sims 4, is to be able to edit your sims clothing to very small details. Want aligator pattern over your sims suit? No problem in sims 3. You can't do that in sims 4. Same goes for furniture in sims 3. Hell, it even had a randomizer for that.
