Also, 4 doesn't have the open world that 3 has, but because of that, 4 doesn't run like a wad of shit like 3 does.
I still find it amusing that they didn't even bother to optimize the open world aspect of 3 and instead just cut it out completely.

Probably because the only time The Sims 3 ever ran PERFECT for me is when it was bare-bones vanilla. NO x-pacs.
I feel like Create-A-Style contributed to a lot of bad performance in 3 too, or at least it's fucking awful loading times.

Believe me, Sims 4's neighborhood bullshit is my biggest gripe with the game, but at the same time a LOT of Sims 4's other non-neighborhood focused features are more fleshed out than Sims 2's ever were.

Yeah for me hands down, the worst thing is not being able to go to someone elses house without having to first load their shit.

I wish they kept that in TS4 though. The customization possibilities were almost infinite with that.
I think of the biggest performance eater in TS3 was the size of the maps. They have way too many houses to load. I stopped playing on official neigborhoods and downloaded some smaller ones on various mod sites. The game loads quite faster on them.
Too bad. I love that Vide City map someone made but it literally takes 5 whole minutes just to save on it because of the hundreds of buildings to load.
I just want Bridgeport to be ported over to either 2 or 4 because 3 is just so eehhh but I hate the standard suburban neighborhoods.
Is the sims 4 retreat game pack worth it?

Anyone know how to edit the police station? I can build in the science lab but nothing else... Police station needs WAY more computers considering they're all used, all the time.

Did the expansion pack add anything else that they didn't really show off, I know they love to add little things that aren't really advertised.

Maybe cause it has lots of loading screens, since you gotta go out to collect evidence etc so lots of going in and out.

Did you watch the LGR review? He covers everything that goes into every ex pack. I don't think he's ever really missed a beat.
