I like the story progression mod, the popups get annoying after a while but it's still pretty good.
But yeah, looking for stuff other than Nraas stuff
You can turn those off. I forget how but it's in the FAQ.
I literally can't play The Sims anymore. Any of them. I used to love it but now it bores me to tears.
I was sure I'd enjoy going back to TS2 since I've always loved it but I played for about 30 minutes and was nearly falling asleep.

You kinda have to be in the mood for it. Take a break and do other stuff until you get a sudden craving for it.
Sims is one of those games that you play for 20 hours during a week and then you don't pick it up again for a year.
The required Sim State University, Mundane Monday Survivalist Test can really take its toll..

- Though i'm sure its all just rumors.. :smug:
The Get Together expansion's coming out on the 8th, and it looks like they've updated the game with a bunch of things, including a 64 bit executable.
One thing I've noticed is that I can't seem to download anything from the Gallery. I can view it in-game and upload things fine, but downloading anything gets me "gallery item failed to download". Anyone else get this issue?

at this rate it'll be 2020 by the time sims 4 gets fully updated with EPs

Oh yeah, and so is the expansion I guess.
I'm actually kinda surprised to hear it's good. It looked very uninteresting at first. But that club feature look really fun!
Does seem like the price is a little steep for what is actually added though so I'm gonna wait for it to drop a bit.
Question on bugs for the thread
I'm thinking of buying the sims 4 after trying it (with all expansion packs) a few days ago and really enjoying it. Got a pretty good sense of which packs I want and which I don't (basically just get to work). What's stopping me right now is the amount of bugs I hit whilst playing the game, but I remember LGR mentioned a lot of the bugs I've experienced when he first reviewed the game.
(for reference, my issues have been with awful sim pathing- walking around, sitting down, when I tell them to clean up dishes, losing save data when they go to lots or I plan outfits in the wardrobe, and finally a gamebreaking bug of being totally unable to save the game - error 533, after playing for a long time. The longer I've played the buggier it's got)
tl;dr Is the sims 4 in its current state especially buggy? Is it running well for you? Have you noticed bugs being fixed/frustrating things being cleared up since launch? --> Should I buy it?
The Sims 4 Movie stu- I mean hippie stuff pack is here? Also apparently lost some where in the middle of Idunnowhatthisis and Idaho?? :speechless:

Maybe someone might want to give the pack a compass, a gps or something, it seems like it might need help finding its way back home.
So i have been playing The Sims 3 again on Steam, i was wondering which expansion pack should i pick up? i am interested in the supernatural expansion pack but i want to hear your suggestions.

Nightlife is good if you want something that feels 'vanilla+'

If you're a person looking for some lovely immersion with your Sims 3 Omelette you should definitely pick up Seasons.
I just cannot see myself without the rain melting away the night with the occasional bolt of lightning striking in the distance.
Playing Sims 2 again. Much better than Sims 4

Why's that?
Why's that?
So much more content, activities, and probably nostalgia. I find myself bored at Sims 4, it has no content or character to me.

even without EPs?
Sims 4 isn't a bad game. You can still have underground facilities.

Sims 4 is a better game, but the others just have more stuff, and in a game like Sims that's kind of important
i'm really gonna miss the open world of 3
I would never really leave the house in 2 because of the crazy load times and i fear the same thing will happen with 4.
The load times with Sims 4 on a SSD aren't even long enough to look away from the monitor, they're not bad at all
The load times with Sims 4 on a SSD aren't even long enough to look away from the monitor, they're not bad at all
i ain't got an ssd
It's not nearly as bad as the Sims 2 on an HDD either.
I just hope they add plumbots back again
They were cool
even without EPs?
Not sure about without EPs, it seems pretty much 1:1 for activities in the base game but a sequel that came out (10?) years later should ship with more activities, even in the base game.
I reinstalled Sims 3, scoured Mod The Sims for male and female create-a-sim, couldn't really find shit. What site do you guys use/recommend?
[editline]23rd July 2016[/editline]
I also installed a harder bills and harder jobs mod, I'm fucking earning $80 (two sims) a day and have to pay bills of $2000 every 3 days.
Send help

Mainly looking for clothes and hairstyles, the choice for higher-class everyday wear and hairstyles (for men) really suck.
LGR did a video for the state of Sims 4. Christ, it's been two years already?

Pretty much agree with what he says. It's not bad but it's boring and not a step up from 3 at all.
The entire Sims 3 franchise is on sale on Steam this week. 75% off for everything so if you need to fill out an ex pack now is definitely the time. Also remember to check out Lazy Game Reviews if you're wondering if X ex pack is worth it.
