Everytime I open a sims thread I always end up downloading sims 3... I'm playing with a single sim studying at university. How do I switch households and how do I switch back to the main neighborhood because right now I can't see any option to do any of those things. I also tried to get my sim out of the dormitories for her own lot, but even the move interaction isn't showing up on her smartphone, or anywhere else for that matter.

I wish there was even a mod to change the relationship system into something longer lasting. I'm suprised Nraas hasn't cooked something up for it yet.

I decided to play The Sims 3 today, and when I went to make my character I changed his clothes color. But for some reason the clothes are bright. Even when the color is full black. Here is a picture, some things aren't full black. It is mainly the boots and the jacket. If you run it in a window and the overlay is still bright then its not gamma As for clothes not looking the same with the same colours that's normal as most materials have ridiculous and inconsistent normal and specular maps and some objects for whatever reason will never look the same under identical colour and material configuration

Speaking of brightness and fucked up colour someone should ask boris to make an enb for Sims

anyone find it weird that in the sims 3 if you move your sim to a location all the other sims just start converging on that location like locusts it's fucking creepy

How long do you guys set lifespans for? I always set mine for too long...

i'm not sure if it was like that in the sims 2 but it's a major pet peeve of mine it's like they're all a collective hive mind (just like facepunch)

does adjusting sims lifespan adjust everyones? I only ask because I've never actually played longer than a single generation of sims (because I fucking love myself too much to let me die off). It's cool to think how every sim family progresses through time but I've never actually seen it.

yeah but I try to stay as realistic as possible. all that magic fruit stuff is annoying to me. I think supernatural is a garbage expansion.
