Mind if I ask if there is any legal way of getting Sims 2 without having to install Origin? Been too long since I played this franchise, and I'm interested on that particular game (complete set of expansions, not the original one, and my computer probably will have a far easier time running it than 3). Thanks for the information in advance.

You can buy it secondhand from people online, or possibly in stores (I know Target and Kmarts around here tend to have spare copies of the base game and various bundles on their shelves). None of the Sims games so far require Origin to play/run/buy, though it's pretty damn handy with the Sims 3 since you can redeem a free digital copy with a serial code from a hardcopy.

This didn't take any resources from expansion team because the store team doesn't overlap with them. Its not like you have to buy it.

Im just hoping Sims 4 doesnt have slow as fuck load times when rocking every expansion and stuff pack

Also sims only have two needs and there is no proper build mode.

why won't my sim die? I drowned him 5 times and he set himself on fire twice but the grim reaper doesn't take him. He even has the unlucky trait. I've tried starving him and killing him in a swarm of flies. I eventually kicked him out.

Anybody know if it's possible to bring back a deleted sim? My sim was in a relationship, and I accidently marked the girlfriend as being a roomate. Having realized this, I dismissed her, figuring it'd just remove her as being a roomate. She rode off on a jetski into the sunset, never to be seen again. Seriously, she's not in the town anymore, nor even on the relationships screen. She's just vanished. Resetting her does nothing. The problem with this is; my sim is still set as dating her, so he can't date or marry anybody else. And I can't break up with her 'cause she isn't in the town anymore. To make it worse, I didn't notice this issue until a few hours later after I already saved, so I can't roll back to an old one.

That's a fairly reasonable deal if you ignore the stuff packs.

It boggles the mind that with each expansion pack, the game gets more and more unstable and buggy and runs like crap. I'm only running Base game, Ambitions, Generations, Pets and the new Paradise Island, and the game is unbearably laggy. Even on minimum graphics, and none of the Nrass mods help in any sense.

paradise island is the main perfomance impact for me, i got a pretty good gaming rig but as soon i launch the paradise island world/city it gets SUPER laggy

I seem to stutter/freeze every 30-45 seconds for half a second, or it has a big freeze every 5 or so minutes for almost 1-2 minutes. And goes back. Or decides it wants to do both. [editline]13th July 2013[/editline] University forces my saves to become completely and utter useless after awhile of playing. Complete game lock up's every 10 mins into it after loading. And as usual none of the Nrass mods seem to stop this. So I've no choice but to ditch University, along with Supernatural and others that bog the game down even more.

It appears the Nraas Master Controller mod makes it impossible to select premade sims in CAS. Anyone know how to fix this? [editline]fda[/editline] Fixed it. Was some kind of conflict. [editline]sad[/editline] Now one of my Sims is having a work-anniversary every time he goes to work. Not really complaining though, since it gets me like 1200 Simoleons a day.

I'm about to get very cross, i got Sims along with some expansions, but i can't really play them. 3/4 times when i try to start a game, i get the "A serious error has occured while loading (insert city.world here)" error, I've gone through about 3 google-pages worth of websites and forum posts trying to fix it, but nothing seems to work. Also, when i finally can get through to the game, and play for a while. When i then try to save the game, just using "Save" i get Error 16, pretty much all sites say "Just use Save As" but when i do that, while it seems to save properly. When i then start the game again, and try to load it, i get "A serious error has occured (insert save name.sims 3 here" again. Also, the background when i get the error is always really artifacted and blown out. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit btw.

Now whenever I load a save my Sims have their jobs erased. God dammit. So I just purchased sims 3 on steam, but when i go to launch it it gets stuck at the requesting key window, It has been about an hour and steam is still trying to request my key, which I'm assuming if it never gets it, i wont beable to enter it into the game when i actually start it up, Any solutions?
