Oh nice, that's pretty cool. I always prefer it when a house is decorated already, and I just swap items out for what I want as opposed to trying to design it myself and ending up with a big, open room.
I got S3 in the Origin Bundle, made a depressed burnt out cop called Max Power, he lives completely alone in a big house, with 2 bedrooms and a nursery room that he doesn't go to anymore. He regularly visits the graveyard and sits on his bed daydreaming.

I take 64x lots and build walls and basements as far up/down as they can go, on the edge of the lot, and make a little stairway to the bottom of the lot where all the stuff is clustered in the center of the gigantic room.

Get him a bar and have him mix drinks constantly.
Though the new Create-A-Sim features are nice, there better be something bigger that sets it apart from previous games. Something that'll make it difficult to go back to the earlier games, like how TS3 and its open town did for me.
Also, let's hope it's on a better engine that won't take 20 mins to load when you've got a few expansions installed down the line.

Building and designing the house has always been my favourite part of The Sims, since my computer was so crappy it was all I did in TS2. I got really good at starters back then, but the lower starting cash in TS3 has made them a little more difficult for me, not to mention I kind of just haven't been doing much building.
Is anybody else actually really excited for the Sims 4? I think it's gonna be pretty rad.
I'm sort of indifferent. They've yet to reveal anything truly exciting about it.
I would be excited if I could run it. As it is, I'm more excited about the release of the last Sims 3 expansion.
Well in light of recent news I am reinstalling sims 3 and all the expansion I have except pets because horses path finding lags the fuck out of everythign. Also is Island Paradice any good?

I really like Island Paradise. The hotel/resort system is rather shallow, and gimmicky imo, but the rest is fun as hell. Plus, who doesn't want to live on a house you can move throughout town?

I'm pretty sure you can get the cd keys to activate on Origin, but Steam doesn't let you buy expansions/DLC at all if you don't own the base game.
