So I got Sims 3 in the Origin Humble Bundle, and as is customary for me, made an evil scientist character, with a spooky basement and everything. Problem is, there isn't really any mad science-y props to put in his lab. Are there any items/mods I could download for him? having mad scientist as a career just isn't the same.

So I played TS2 and I have to say that TS3 seems so much more bland oh my god holy fuck. I really hope 4 will return to that (and it won't chug like a motherfucker). So is it a posibility that 4 will be on Steam? After fealing with the horrors of Origin when trying to activate Late Night via a key (Thanks, Rockman Yoshi) I just want to buy every non console game on steam. I bought a CD version of the game and Origin won't let me use the code because someone else used it. It's brand new. Is there any other way to download it or will I have to buy another fucking copy? You don't need Origin to use the game if you have the disc. Just install and use the cd key provided.

Damn, I just got the Motive Mobile but my stupid-ass Sim doesn't use it at all, only the taxis.

Is there any way to fix the all encompassing crappy performance? Even when paused the game takes a second or so to register camera movements.

I'd say Origin works pretty well.

You also don't need it running to launch games you've installed through it. Seriously, Origin may not be the best, but it seems like people just blindly shit on it because it isn't Steam.

Never does for me. On my laptop, I installed all of my sims games, then uninstalled Origin, and it hadn't given me any issues.

Trying a wildly new Sim concept is fun. Been playing an insane inventor who is obsessed with the outdoors this week. His house is a bathroom and a closet with a computer, with three patios scattered around the garden acting as the kitchen, the living room, bedroom and the workshop, giving a constant mood boost to his Outdoors-lovin' ass. Needles to say he's SWIMMING in lifetime happiness.

I was hoping to get a digital version of The Sims 2 off of Origin, but it seems like they've removed it. Blessing in disguise?

so, any other of the recent update, or did they just add prettier loading screens?
