Apparently you can't use mods with AnyGame launcher? That's some bullshit right there. And nevermind again. Each profile needs its own separate mod framework to be setup. Sims 3 keeps stuttering for me uncontrollably. Every couple seconds, my Sim freezes, and I can't click anything, meanwhile their plumbob is still spinning, and things like trees still wave. Then it unfreezes. Then it freezes a couple seconds later. Etc.

I would play it a lot more if I had the money for the EPs. I have up to Late Night. I feel like I missing out on so much. Also, I use to play the Sims Online before I was considered "addicted" by my parents. The first thing I did in the game was buy a beagle and named it Fireball at a pet store where 2 people were having woohoo. I then found a lady who let me live in her house which was a casino. I even had my own slot machines to make money off of. By the end of my time on the game, which was only for like a month, I met the owner of this house which was a wrestling arena. I signed up and became, "SOUTH POLE SANTA". I won the Mix-Gender Championship and made bank loads of money. Then I was cut-off by my parents and the game shut-down.

Man, The Sims Online sounded like a lot of fun. If the next installment would follow SimCity and have an online component, I'd at least hope they'd keep all the solo playability. There'll probably be huge setbacks, but even then I don't think EAxis would go [i]that[/i] far to changing it up, especially for a popular franchise like The Sims. I wouldn't be surprised, though. But thinking of it idealistically, it sounds like it could be fun. Creating your own Sim and building a house, and being able to have a friend or total stranger live with you (or at least in the same town) while you both control separate Sims, and as you play you'd be able to choose your own way to react to your friend's interactions and whatnot. It'd have a lot of potential I think, but lots of cutoffs.

I played Sims Online when it was made free and renamed to "EA Land". It was pretty fun, sucks that they shut it down.

Oh god, I played the Sims Online back in middle school very briefly. Me and my friend were massive jerks back then (who wasn't in middle school), and ended up getting ourselves blacklisted from almost every lot in the server we played on. What we did was we befriended this person who ran their own casino, and they added us as admins or whatever so they could leave and run errands, and the lot wouldn't close down while gone. When he left, we had closed the lot down and booted everyone from it, then proceeded to smash every item in the house, leaving only the debris. Literally, if the piece of furniture could be smashed, then we did it. I think we spent an hour or two having our sims running around this huge building, smashing everything. We had smashed everything except for this tree this person had (the fruit would max your needs all the way up) since it wouldn't let us smash it. I believe the fruit in it was seasonal as well? Anywho, we moved it to the top floor of this building, and placed a ton of small end tables up there as well, forming a giant "LOL", and smashed them so they left debris in that pattern. We then put the tree in the middle of the "O", and ate all of the fruit off it it. When we had signed on the next day, we were blacklisted from that lot, as well as every other casino lot, and most of the others.

I still get stuttering, and now, every time it does stutter, my fan really gets going. I'll look into ErrorTrap, though.

I'm convinced my game is bugged. My characters will never get abducted. I had the Robot friend of one of my characters randomly get abducted one day, but no one if I actually try. I even have a mod installed (I am installing the .packages right? /mods/packages in the documents folder?) that makes it a 100% chance that I will be abducted if I interact with a telescope, but nope.

i got a mod that makes fires super bitches and did not notice one of my sims who can not cook to save their life was cooking. the sim died along with half the family and all their belongings (i also had to get a mod to get them out of the house because firefighters cant fight the huge fires)

All of the sims I've tried to get abducted were human, the only one I've had abducted was a robot that didn't even try to get abducted.

So my girlfriend was playing sims 3. And suddenly it's frozen, the animations for snow, and the shadows are moving, and the Z's are still moving on sleeping animals etc, but she cannot move the camera, click off a open menu, open options or change time speed. Anyone know any fixes aside from cutting the game out due to her not saving for the past hour and a half.

Is there a mod to make people call you less? I'm sick of having the phone go off five or six times in the middle of the night. Why would you call to ask somebody out on a date at three in the morning! That is silly!
