How come that in order to build a second floor for my house in 3, I have to put up the proper support pillars, yet I can safely remove them when the floor is built? Not that I'm complaining, that shit fucks with my interior design plans, but really?

Haven't played 2 in forever[/QUOTE] There is less content in the base game, (I assume, I only have had Double Deluxe + University, and I got Sims 3 with Late Night + High End Loft Stuff) but I think the art style is far more expressive. The Sims in 3 don't feel very alive to me.

They have hundreds of dollars worth of DLC to sell for it, and Sims 2, and especially 3, feel like empty foundations to fill with the content that comes from all the expansion crap, and what better way to start selling it than by offering the base game for free. Not only that, with the upcoming Sims 4, it's perfect marketing. if I were EA, I'd do that

I would appreciate it greatly if someone posts here when they notice any Sims games going for free like that. I'd be on that faster than a steam summer sale.
